I think that also the term allies assumes a two way relationship, that both parties have the back of the other… Again, I don’t think that’s true between the rest of humanity and the people that travel in the orbits the Epstein travels in - regardless of their political affiliation. Do I believe the elites of the DNC are really on our side? No, not really.

What should be able to go without saying is that justice for the victims is more important than how much of an inconvenience or convenience these girls getting raped has been for whichever party. These little attempts at gotcha moments are truly nauseating if one views this story as more than a PR hot potato.

I assumed it was Trump, annoyed that Pence was going to NH. He doesn’t want them to consider Pence for 2024, he’s been broadly hinting he wants his followers to demand he continue his reign indefinitely.

Just took a brief look into it. The first line to be crossed for an illegal third term (assuming it is done via a vote) is getting the name on the ballot which falls to the states to enforce the 22nd amendment. It is going to be tough to win when a bunch of states will likely not put the name on the ballot.
Of course the, “Doesn’t leave office” scenario is a whole other can of worms.

The first line was crossed before the election, when Trump basically admitted he was unwilling to accept the validity of a Clinton victory, then, when she won the popular vote, he claimed his loss of the popular vote was due to fictional illegal votes in California. Then the “As has been stated by numerous legal scholars, I have the absolute right to PARDON myself”, as well as declaring any investigation of his actions to be unconstitutional. I’m not assuming he’d be voted into office by anything resembling a legal process.

My understanding is that the plea deal itself was probably illegal in a number of ways, and that’s what they’re investigating.
