She was; one that came with the case she bought when we got the phones. It had cracked a couple months earlier, but she didn’t choose to do anything about it since the phone was working fine, and it was just one thin crack. Then it got dropped again and that was that. Lesson learned.

I’ve gone with and without cases, sometimes they’ve saved my bacon, other times not. It really depends on the phone.

Honestly, the lack of case isn’t what I find unusual or “objectionable” but the idea of not listening to music is entirely foreign to me :-p

Well, yeah. This is just a common or garden dystopia with a minor in sci-fi.
