Buttigieg claims delegate lead in Iowa caucus, with Sanders leading vote, Warren close behind, and Biden in the dust

If you expect purity tests for all issues, all comments. You’re gonna get Trump again.

Bold words for a person with Groucho Marx avatar.

Look, I’m a gay guy, Married for 33 1/3 years to a former Marine. I’ve/We’ve been through stuff. We live in Alabama. And let me tell you…if you split your ‘front’ … you lose.
No matter how corporate you think “Wall Street Pete” is, he’s heads and shoulders better than anything the Republicans dredge up.
So, don’t go poisoning the well and being ‘useful idiots’ by encouraging people to ‘sit this one out’ if they don’t get Bernie or Warren etc.

I’m gonna add a proviso because I’m not sure.

“Delegate equivalents” might be the language they’re using because the delegates here don’t automagically equate to national delegates at the DNC convention later this year. There’s multiple terms and decimal numbers flying around. Might just be how many National delegates it should translate to.

Um, they didn’t. And now is the time to make one’s preferences known, because we’re choosing the nominee. I have no interest in Pete being president either, but I’ll vote for a spoiled turnip before I vote for Trump, so kindly take your presumptions elsewhere, Mr. Marine.

Also F* the media and this horse race nonsense. Iowa matters to the sort of old white people that aren’t the majority of this country anymore.

Also…you were the guy saying “wall street Pete”…do you have any self awareness of that statement at all? Seriously? You resort to name calling “Infantile” and “Wall Street Pete” and then expect people not to notice that?

I’m 90% certain he has such a big following with older women because they really want to set him up with their niece/grand daughter/dog groomer.

As always, Ebaum’s has a good handle on the situation…

Shadow inc. sounds more like a Wow guild of 12yo kids than a real company.

I guess BB already covered this https://boingboing.net/2020/02/04/shadow-app-that-failed-in.html?utm_source=moreatbb&utm_medium=nextpost&utm_campaign=nextpostthumbnails.

He was a Republican as NY mayor, and he endorsed Bush in 2004.

You do understand that one not wanting a candidate to win the Dem nomination does not necessarily mean that one wouldn’t vote for him or her in the general election, right?

Also, “Wall Street Pete” is good enough to describe a neoliberal-lite graduate of the toxic McKinsey corporate culture who’s currently in the process of hooking himself on big-money donors. I’ll vote for him if he’s the nominee, but I don’t see him being inclined to make the changes needed to address the existential challenges ahead.
