Trump says the 2020 presidential election was rigged and stolen from him? The MAGA Party says Republicans who think otherwise are RINOs who are in cahoots with the Democrats. (Even though Bill Barr, his hand-picked Attorney General, says there was no fraud.)
Trump says Russia is the United States’ friend and can do nothing wrong. The MAGA Party says Republicans who support Ukraine are warmongers who aren’t putting America first. (Even though Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said, in 2012, Russia was America’s greatest geopolitical rival.)

Good info to know. I think everyone agrees we really shouldn’t have classified documents misplaced. Maybe the National Archive SHOULD do a review of the last 3 or 4 administrations offices, storage, and libraries to make sure they don’t have more stuff in boxes somewhere.

If Trump had just turned in everything after being made aware he still had documents, then it would have been a blip in the news cycle and no further consequences. Instead he intentionally kept some of them until the point they raided him and he may still face charges (not holding breath there…)

Exactly. Mistakes happen and can be expected with any system dependent on physical paper files. Stuff gets lost, forgotten and misplaced. Something a sane person apologizes for and makes amends by returning the files in decent condition.
The crime is when one deliberately steals the files hides them, despoils them and likely tried to sell them.
I believe Biden narc’ed himself here and is making a show of the investigation and cooperation to make it easier to go after Trump.
