Did they try correlating the search requests with where Trump was at the time while campaigning?
Those kinds of men will loudly dismiss this story as liberal media hogwash.
But secretly they know it’s true.
Correlative studies like this are not particularly convincing, because the causal links are not well examined. As the article itself says, we cannot know this correlation corresponds to anything definitive, and the attempts to normalize and control the variables rely heavily on the demographics of Amazon Mechanical Turk workers. I mean, I think it’s interesting, but I question its news value relative to the manner in which it will likely be interpreted.
All of that said, I had a pro-Trump coworker at my last job who constantly ragged on me about my messenger bag as a “purse” because it had a single strap. A couple of the other guys had a brief laugh about it, but this guy would not let it go. It was interesting, because it never bothered me, and it seemed to bother him that it didn’t bother me. One of the guys who was ex-military pointed out to him that the type of bag I used was commonly used for storing ammunition (which isn’t what interested me in the bag but happens to be true). It was fun to watch his mind reel before he retorted, “Well if he was carrying bullets, I wouldn’t have anything to say.”
It seems you successfully employed my mom’s life-long strategy (to me, proven successful) for how one should deal with people like your co-worker: “Never get into arguments with idiots.”
instead of mocking trump voters, which will only make them vote for him more to spite the mockers, there should be a daily documentary on trump voters confessing their (deep) regret
you show an honestly confessing trump voter with regret every day, soon you’ve got a movement to make better choices
imagine if every newsmedia outlet did that every day, interviewing a trump voter with regret
If “denial” could be correlated, that could turn up also.
I’ve a friend who scorns kayaking because…
…you guessed it.
Correlation does NOT equal causation but damn sometimes you really really wish it did…
How is that even…
Never forget that Trump was the first candidate to use a national televised debate to assure the nation that he doesn’t have a small penis.
It definitely correlates with causation.
They wouldn’t believe it anyway. “Liberal cuck propaganda. Faggots trying to make us feel bad for telling it like it is. We can’t be shamed by the snowflakes.”
They absolutely refuse to listen to reason, facts or human decency. What makes you think this’d work?
At this point they’re too invested in insisting they pissed themselves on purpose to show us who’s really smart.
Lol, these types are interesting. I have an acquaintance who always finds something to get stuck on when it comes to my clothing or an accessory. Recently it was that my polo’s shirt sleeves were too short. I believe “fag sleeves” was said. It’s like it’s visceral for him, he can’t drop it and I catch him constantly looking. It’s funny because the guy is constantly talking about how masculine he is in various ways, but then he’s stuck on something about my clothing. He also gave me shit for braiding my daughters hair one time which had me about ready to punch him. He even gives me shit about being in shape, apparently only the gays are fit now. Dude, being masculine is largely about not worrying about what’s masculine.
That’s what she said.
This is petty and useless, but considering where Trump and his voters have brought us…
… I’ll take it.
