Agreed. Also, not all of us are qualified to diagnose. But I can definitely say, this is dangerous & must be stopped. People died in the attack on the Capitol Jan 6, & the bullying build-up beforehand was just like this: name-calling, threats, & harassment. I hope Capitol Police called AOC’s office to warn her who was looking for it. I hope somebody does a search to identify the crew that is with her & check them against the “Wanted” list from Jan 6. And I hope Pelosi will demand that security & safety rules be enforced.

No one who is not her doctor or therapist is… full stop. This isn’t hard. Don’t assume that someone doing something shitty has a mental illness, unless it’s documented in some way. And don’t assume that mental illness is the cause of racism, misogyny, or the like, because it’s not.
Yes. too many people are acting as if this is just typical politics. The security and capitol police were able to stop the mob before they killed any sitting member of congress or VP Pence. But if this continues, someone in a political position is going to get killed (some, including members of the capitol police HAVE been killed). This needs to be dealt with before that happens.

Personally, I feel it should be illegal to religiously swear in any government official. It’s anti-secular and violates at the very least the intent of the 1st amendment.
BUT as long as people are swearing in on bibles, then it’s preposterous to complain about the Quran, or the gitas, or anything else people value.
The whole point of this religious swearing in is making people promise something and if they break that promise they believe some supernatural entity will torture or kill them or something.
Forcing people to swear on holy books for religions they don’t believe in is nothing more than religous hegemony bullying the little guy into playing along with a belief system they have nothing to do with. It’s only mean-spirited and pointless at best.

Yes, mental illness does not cause those worldviews. But having those worldviews can shape the perceived reality of people that are delusional. In the end though, she strikes me as more of an anti-social asshole than someone suffering from mental health issues. (Still not a diagnosis) She really is a one-trick pony.
Which itself shows a depressing lack of understanding the “no religious test,” clause of the constitution that she has sworn to defend.
Of course nobody HAS to swear their oath, on the bible or any other religious item. One has the option to “affirm” their oath of office. See “no religious test” above.
