As an atheist, I’ve always thought that affirming on the"Jefferson Bible," would be appropriate and historical and would tend to trigger those that believe that the US was founded as a Christian Nation.

Agreed, not here, but I have seen it on other forums, and yes, it is too easy to label somebody as mentally ill when they behave in a way that one disagrees with, or has divergent viewpoints.

My preference would be the constitutional law book used by John Quincy Adams. It shows an appreciation for both history and the nature of the oath.

I think the reason the Capitol police arent called to the scene here: that office must have been unoccupied and they were pretending AOC & staff were inside to make good video. (It’s bizarre that AOC will now need to select interns based on buffness and whether they “lift.”)

I disagree with this. I think that getting more power would only increase the belligerence and violence. Just look at the last 5 years. They got more and more power, and in return they got more and more violent, and more and more belligerent.
Getting power just helps them come out of the shameful shadows they live in and encourages them to let their Fascist Flags Fly.
