I never watch the videos anymore, but the fact that I can read a quote and hear his stupid voice in my head is really depressing.
Reminder: Trump was a registered Democrat as recently as 2012. He switched parties when he decided to get into politics because he realized none of the other people in that party shared his values. (Or more accurately, they found his own absence of values incompatible with their own values).
And if, somehow, he was still a Dem, he’d have as many people lining up to defend him as Bob Menendez does (well, probably not quite that many).
“Some say the Gettysburg Address was one of the greatest speeches ever given. It’s true, some say that, some also say that was only 2 minutes long. It wasn’t broadcast on TV and not even Fake News ABC would cover it. How can someone only talk for 2 minutes? They say that Lincoln was many things, but he wasn’t a good talker like I am. He could only talk for 2 minutes, but I can talk for over 2 hours! I guess you could say that makes me a better president than he ever was.”
Or he’s simply a colossal asshole who has never faced real consequences in his life.
I wouldn’t trust Donald Trump as far as Abraham Lincoln could throw him, because from what I’ve read Lincoln was strong enough to hurl him quite some distance. [I’d love to see that on pay-per-view, though.] From Lincoln’s Wikipedia article:
In his first campaign speech after returning from his military service, Lincoln observed a supporter in the crowd under attack, grabbed the assailant by his “neck and the seat of his trousers”, and tossed him.
Lincoln could be a bouncer at a bar. Trump could get kicked out of a bar by a bouncer. They are not the same.
Lincoln was literally a semiprofessional wrestler.
Between his “oh, so many people want to see me, look at my crowd sizes” theme and his continuous claims of persecution and victimhood, Donald Trump has to be just about the whiniest, neediest public figure in American history. The constant, desperate need for validation and approval is pathological.
Yeah or that Nevada state Dem who recently got convicted of murder.
Looking for photos of Lincoln, I came across this photo of the Reagan assassination attempt. It looks like someone was maybe feeling put out by the interruption to his day.
300 wins and 1 loss. In the pro wrestling hall of fame.
I suppose Trump makes him look like nothing in the sense that Lincoln could hide behind Trump.
he “made Abraham Lincoln look like nothing.”
In fairness, he is much, much bulkier than the notoriously thin Lincoln.
Yes, but he’d have to duck. No way Trump is anywhere near the 6’2” or whatever he claims.
One of the biggest giveaways that the Abraham Lincoln from that Star Trek episode wasn’t the real thing is that an authentic Abe would have been able to wipe the walls with Kahless the Unforgettable.
Y’all are leaving out Ol’ Abe’s most important qualification!
How many vamps as Il Douche put down, hmmmm?
Trump wept when he saw that there were no more vampires to kill, because Lincoln had killed them all.
True, maybe a more accurate take would be “when he began his political career” since that first attempt was really a non-starter.
