Democrat Doug Jones beats cowboy cosplay creep Roy Moore in Alabama senate race

I don´t know what TOB (short for “the Orange Bastard”) means, but it kinda sounds like a thread.
Anyway good on you Yanks, the regime is starting to crumble.

Hey now, that poor horse doesn´t deserve that.

For what it’s worth, the machine at didtrumptweetit.com is pretty sure that he did.

I couldn’t agree more.

It does stick to his restricted vocabulary, and has his whiny way of grousing and threatening to retake the seat in the next election.

To make him really mad, we should all remind people that his support tanked both his preferred candidate in the primary and the Republican in the election. What a sad little loser!

The presumption that Trump and others will pass off as “truth” is that “all the write-in votes would have gone to Moore.” That’s a big presumption. If even a small part of them would have gone to Jones, he would still have won. Literally ALL of them would have had to go to Moore for him to win by less than 2,000 votes, and that would definitely have kicked off an automatic recount (but oops, they destroyed the records, so you can’t do a manual recount).

Jones won. Jones probably would have won even if there had been zero write-ins. Let’s keep reminding them off the truth, and not let them guide the narrative. The most red of red states voted blue, and that makes 2018 look VERY bad for the Grand Old Pedophiles.

And McConnell pre-emptively announced that he won’t seat him. Because democracy, Republican-style.

I will happily engage in any and all constructive discourse about how nearly half of Alabama voted for Moore tomorrow. But I live here. I’ve lived in Alabama/Mississippi most of my adult life as a tiny blue dot. I worked on this campaign. So tonight, tonight, I’m doing nothing but crying with joy and high-fiving anyone who will throw up a hand.

Whites and evangelicals overwhelmingly. I figure the only discourse should be retching sounds.

From my understanding, this isn’t yet a done deal. A recount is still possible. A recount is mandatory if the margin drops below 0.5% (a lot of military votes have not yet been counted - and we know which way they tend to go), and either side could request a recount.

Let’s not celebrate prematurely until this creep has conceded and the GOP throws in the towel.

Also bonus slap in the face for the UK’s most reliable gobshite Nigel Farage who very publicly backed Roy Moore.

Doesnt the seat go up again in the soon-to-arrive midterms? Strikes me that all they have to do is run someone who only sexually assaults grown women like the president and it’ll go red again.

For South Carolina, at least, it is the beginning of nothing much. Jones squeaked by in a race against a deranged pedophile. He’ll be easily replaced in 2020 by some “conventionally” deranged Republican.

Hooray!

The margin of victory was ~ 2% and the number of military votes was described on MSNBC as being in the 1000-1500 range. No recount will be called for. Go ahead-- celebrate prematurely!

Given his ‘put muricans on the moon!’ story the other day, possibly someone has read excerpts of Upgoer5 to him.
