And the world is, yet again, diminished.

A lesser known work. In fact, it doesn’t seem to be generally known why Rigg agreed to be in this obscure dialogue less miniseries, or what purpose it was supposed to serve.

That’s awesome! Gotta love The Prisoner era weirdness. This will be added to my collection.

Truly she was one of the greats. Between her and Julie Newmar I was always going to have a thing for catsuits.

At least that scene had great dialog:

Piggy: “Why are you telling me all this?”
Rigg: “Plot exposition, it has to go somewhere!”

Diana Rigg reinforces my theory that everyone who has acted with Muppets in any show/movie/webcast is automatically cool*

*There is the Bill Cosby exception for celebrities who get convicted committing heinous crimes.

Her performance on Extras is also just about the only thing that would make me return to a Ricky Gervais project these days

Aw, I thought Dame Diana would go on forever, but it doesn’t ever work out that way, does it. I discovered Detectorists while holed up at home and was so excited when Diana Rigg appeared as the mother of the character played by her daughter. I know 82 is a pretty good run but dammit, I blame 2020 for this one. RIP

Here she is with Anthony Hopkins in 1972, when they played Macbeth in the National Theatre. Gorgeous.
