His own doing? While I would never blame the parents, surely they contributed in some way. Not that I’m blaming them, but they must take some of the blame. I would never draw a straight line from his behavior to their parenting, but certainly it must be directly responsible.

If you can’t control your “urges” at the sight of a little skin, side-boob, or thigh… that is YOUR problem. We are autonomous individuals, actually human beings, with lives of our own. Get your own fucking libido under control and stop blaming women for men acting like assholes…

Thanks for the reminder, it’s been about 30 years since I slogged through it.
What about if we devote ourselves to praying through disciplined, dispassionate ritual sex? Their bible seems to have not accounted for this eventuality!
