I think Madison Cawthorn just lost his primary?
Currently Dr Oz is trailing a bit in Pennsylvania but only 70% of the returns are in so far.
It sure looks that way.
Hahaha hahaha
(Printer, repeat until end of page.)
The ghost Madison will linger until January, pity. (I’d up his weapons scans, but that’s just me.)
The mean part of me wants the removal of any ADA requirements within 100 miles of his workplace.
Just for him of course.
I said it was mean.
Looks like Fetterman secured the D nom here in PA and the R one is still a toss up.
95% now and he’s on top again but only by a tenth of a percent over his closest opponent Dave McCormick (less than a thousand votes) so it could still easily go either way.
There is a mandatory recount if the margin of victory is below .5%. It must be completed by the 26th. The loser can decline the recount.
PA votes in the SE. which usually decides statewide elections. The Dems had generally better turnout. Except Delaware County. And Fetterman had a poor showing in Philadelphia; compared to his statewide blowout.
Fetterman is going to need to really work this area in n the general.
Its still baffling that Cawthorn didn’t lose by much. Two percentage points?
That’s the America we live in now, especially in Republican-leaning states.
The primaries wrap Tuesday here in Georgia, so we’ll see if MTG gets the nomination again or if she gets primaries by slightly less horrible Republicans… I’d like to think that district is better, but I also grew up there, so I know how bad it can be in some parts of it…
Some Democrats were alarmed that Douglas Mastriano, who has repeatedly raised debunked claims of election fraud and was present at the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, won the Republican nomination for governor in Pennsylvania Tuesday.
Some?
Another “power grab” by the dems! If we allow the vote to be fair and all eligible voters cast a ballot, the Repubs will never win another election! They must be stopped! (/s, but I am certain we will hear variations of this later on today.)
So to nobody’s surprise the Trump administration messed up the 2020 census pretty badly. But what is interesting is that the result of their sabotage efforts seem to have ended up favoring mostly blue states with overcounts and disadvantaging mostly red states with undercounts:
Guess that’s the natural result when the GOP has been loudly encouraging everyone to distrust the government. Why would a stridently anti-government person bother to fill out their census forms?
Yeah… probably their goal, because they want to undercount those of us who don’t vote red… But it doesn’t really say who was undercounted in those states, so…
Not sure I follow. A state’s proportional representation is based on total population from the census, so failing to count anyone that resides in your state will give your state less power in congress and the electoral college, regardless of how they vote.
That’s why the slaver states in the South wanted to count their slaves as full people in the census in the constitutional convention. Not because they actually respected slaves as people or wanted slaves’ interests represented, but because they wanted the congressional power that comes with a greater population.
