The two most Musk-like Bond villains, Hugo Drax and Karl Stromberg (remember who now owns that Lotus Esprit!), didn’t wear a Nehru collar. Not that I would expect Musk to remember or care.
Musk will never be a Blofeld though, he’s more like the guy who Blofeld would drop into a shark tank because he is a liability.

Musk admits he wishes he could believe in something with that poem because he thinks if he could do that he’d finally be happy, something a quarter a of a trillion dollars couldn’t give him.

Oh, I think he’s perfectly happy being a fascist who is working to bring down democracy. I think he’s full of joy over the role he’s playing there. There isn’t much depth to him. This is literally what and who he is. Let’s believe him rather than spending our precious time trying to “explain” what he’s doing. He’s just an awful person. That’s it.

What they really have in common is that they’re both heavily into Bitcoin. They were likely talking about the value of currencies being a consensual mass hallucination, and riffing on that like two drugged up college sophomores. But Musk knows that would be too embarrassing to take note of.

Perhaps he believes that the future of his companies and the attainment of his personal vision are tied to whoever ends up in the WH. His actions have proven that he despises environmental, labor, and safety regulations – “trivialities” that slow him down or threaten to, even in ‘fuck-you-all-we-be-Texans’ Texas. His constant tweeting serves Trump, with the sheer volume leaning toward normalizing the notion of dictatorships, and by sucking up the oxygen at news desks and in editorial board meetings. Sure, he’s clearly shown himself to be an asshole for at least a decade now, but now there’s only 40-odd days left, Kamala is on fire, and he needs Trump back in the WH. (Makes me wonder if Musk is stupid enough to believe whatever Trump has promised him.)
