I did a quick search and couldn’t find any more recent than 2021.
As a kid, I liked the full-size houses. As a parent I think those people are evil or at least chaotic neutral. Our kid will arrive home with literal pounds of candy even though they won’t stay out too long. Last year we traded a toy of their choice for most of the candy. They kept 15 pieces of their choice but I took the rest (minus parental tax) to work
Cordyceps is the all-purpose Hallowe’en fungus. It zombifies, it mummifies! Haven’t found anything related to vampires or werewolves yet, but I am assuming that’s just because they have yet to be discovered. There’s always next year!
Oh, I know. And I would never say anything to the full-size givers! It’s just that there is soooo much candy
I’ve also gotta watch my Treehouse of Horror faves from The Simpsons, “The Grand Pumpkin”…
…and “The Raven” a funny take on Edgar Allan Poe’s classic:
You both look fantastic! Great work!
Outside giving treats away to trick or treaters and I overhear this
Small child; I want to go see the Granny
Parental figure; that’s not a granny. That’s a dead bride
Small child; no! I saw a granny. I want to go see the granny!
ETA: probably best they don’t catch up. The Granny is quite spooky
This is why we do a candy-trade, which someone today said they called a Witch-Switch. This was an hour of treating
Edit to add: there is also lots of boos for adults! A house gave away the beer they brew just for Halloween. Several places with jello shots. Spiked punch, the works.
Our neighborhood is very Halloween
One of my all-time favorite Hallowe’en images - it becomes my desktop wallpaper every October, and often stays on long after Hallowe’en is past.
