Federal agents guard Fauci so 'nobody tries to break in [to my home] and, as Steve Bannon would like, have somebody behead me'

But it’s not incitement. I’m sure if someone tried, it would be because they came up with the idea completely on their own.

Not exactly a good time for it right now anyway, Doc.

Dark humor aside, this is so seriously fucked up.

I suspect that once they have a grown up in charge again Fauci may reflect on the many times he might have, but didn’t, punch Trump right in his stupid face.

So many ex-White House staff may be reflecting that they had opportunities to punch Trump and didn’t. Consequences be damned, you’d be a hero to many millions.

Perhaps better yet, reflecting on all the possible Entartiste moments that were missed. A tragically lost opportunity.

It seems to me that you could stand on any street corner in America these days and say “2 + 2 = 4” and have more than a few vocal outraged people call for your head.

Thank you social media !

Now that’s an appropriate scenario for pardon power!

If this were an article about some war-torn, impoverished, banana republic in Central America or Africa, it would be exactly the people who are the problem in this case who would be tut-tutting and paternalistically crowing about how the US is the greatest country in the world.

Funny how Dr. Fauci never needed to take such precautions against the crazies under Presidents Reagan, Bush I, Clinton, Bush II or Obama.

So you’re saying his safety really declined after the prior administration.

Thanks, Obama.

Can we all chip in and send the good doctor a pizza or some flowers or something? Sheesh!

I keep thinking about this:

I hadn’t yet considered that angle, and it really does put it into perspective. Chernobyl showed the world that the Soviet Union was not only unethical, but just howlingly incompetent. Whereas Covid-19 has shown the world that the United States is… I dunno, could a case be made that our handling of this situation is qualititatively worse than theirs?

I mean I get the sentiment, but he probably has a number of things sent to his house that he doesn’t want, it’ll most likely be discarded/ thrown away.

I remember after 9/11, a lot of firehouses had to stop accepting food gifts from people because there were concerns that the food could be tainted. They even had to stop having pizzas delivered from known companies because people could intercept and pretend to be the delivery.

Wouldn’t that be ‘merely’ quantitative, though?

The size of a mound of 345,000 bodies is qualitatively huge. Probably bigger than the reactor building at Chernobyl.

Why is Bannon allowed out on bail?

Too soon.

If there isn’t a Major Reckoning with Bannon, Miller, Limbaugh, Hannity, and the rest of that ilk, we are going to rue the fact that we didn’t deal with them when we had the chance.
‘That ilk’ includes Lord Dampnut, his oldest children & spouses, his Cabinet & all the various hirelings, toadies, etc… as well as EVERY GOPer in Congress. The Congresscritters had a chance to put Country above Party and their own self-interest, & failed miserably. This is by no means a complete list of those who are using our freedoms & traditions in order to destroy us.

These people aren’t a cancer in the Body Politic. They are gangrene.

Hell, there are lots of Ocean Liners that have fallen idle. They could be stuffed full and towed to the South Atlantic until the Antarctic Current takes hold…
