One of the weirdest American foods I’ve had was at a conference where morning tea was pretzels and this liquid cheese in a bowl you served with a ladle. I didn’t even understand what the purpose of it was before I saw others putting it on the pretzels. It wasn’t good.

Were they big warm soft pretzels? Or the hard, cracker-like mini pretzels?
I’ve seen queso/velveeta put on soft pretzels, but it seems like a dumb idea on the minis. The two kinds taste nothing alike.
