God damn I had to get so fucking many pregnancy tests when I had cancer. 200 bucks a pop too. And I was paying for birth control the whole time too fifty bucks a month out of pocket for that. I never hated my uterus so much just for existing.

I submit that this is also part of that plan. They want teen pregnancies, because that removes girls from education and sets them up for a life in poverty. On the other hand, if urban professional middle or upper class women want to enjoy any of the benefits of being treated like an adult, then they’re going to have to demonstrate that they have forgone the choice to become a mother. Contrariwise, wanting children means giving up all the nice things “for the baby’s protection, you know.”
And in the most casually invasive way, too. (Internal ultrasound, I’m guessing, they’re keeping for something special.) I’m going to go ahead and guess that a doctor’s note of a hysterectomy isn’t going to get you out of providing that test. And how are they going to get those tests? Is the woman going to show up with a test with one line on it? Would anyone care if she got her boyfriend to piss on it? Would anyone know? Or do they mandate the head shop do their own testing, just to be sure?
There are so many questions like this that do your head in if you come in with the vague assumption that there’s any good faith there. As soon as you conclude that the only point of the bill is to punish women for being women, all is clear.

In the US quite a few of these people exist in the intersection where child-bride polygamists and regular old pimps have the same goals. Some of them simply believe that they are entitled to the bodies of as many young children as possible in order to breed their desired race of humans, for instance. The lives or suffering of those humans don’t matter, in the end the harvesting of as many human bodies from one little girl’s body is simply using a tool as intended. To these people women are not real humans because only one biological sex is a fully functional human. The rest of the species are just obnoxious rogue consciences inhabiting useful wombs (in the case of the breed-obsessed set) and profitable bodies (in the case of pimping/trafficking). It’s depressing as hell.

The school year at MacArthur High in Irving, Texas, began last fall with the administration scraping off rainbow stickers that had been posted on campus, prompting hundreds of students to walk out in protest. Seven months later, LGBTQ students say things have deteriorated further.
Several students said that either they or their classmates have been called homophobic slurs and bullied, and school staff members have failed to intervene. Some said they’re discouraged by the Irving Independent School District’s response to the concerns they’ve raised through the Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) and school board meetings, and they feel less safe at school than they did a year ago. Two students said human resources officers with the district questioned them about their involvement with the GSA.
“It feels like a target was put on us,” said Adaiah Knight, a junior who identifies as gender-fluid and who said students have harassed them. (Knight uses they/them pronouns.)
