I use cattywumpus on occasion. It is a fine word. I don’t see why one should be looked down on for speaking in dialect. The more words, the better.

I will concede to you and Gyrofrog that I’m less familiar with TX and mid-West accents but Billie’s still sounds put on to me.
My family is from and I learned to speak in southern Alabama; I’ve lived in North Florida (aka South GA) 25 years; and I spent my teen years overseas (resulting in an ear for comparisons). Thems my credentials, good sirs.
So. MAYBE Billie’s redneck, maybe. But she ain’t Southern, cuz if she was, she woulda claimed where she came from.
David Szedaris’ impression of his cocky SC brother may be what Billie is going for. Ok ok I stop now. Obviously, fake or not, it fascinates me, uuughhhhhh. Ha

I should have been more clear. Real as in a representation of a hick accent I’ve heard. It very well may be totally put on.

It’s confirmed fake. It’s an actress named Carley Adams. Look her up. She scours the Internet daily and reports/has comments removed claming copyright infringement anytime you use her name…all in efforts to keep herself anonymous. I bet this comment I’m making will be deleted within minutes. Haven’t you noticed not one person in the comments section of her videos ever questions the reality of what they’re seeing? It’s because she’s deleting them.
I mean honestly, do you really think a hillbilly named “Billy” (coincidence? No.) is harassing her neighbor about insiginificant situations daily but does NOT ever complain about being filmed?
I’ve met real people like her. But she isn’t an authentic one. A real one gets aggressive when a cameras on them. But she’s in it for the $$$.

Here’s a link from the original “Billie sue” character from 2013. Yes I see this video was uploaded in 2018, but it is a re upload by another user. Carley has these things removed as soon as she notices them therefore not much citation can be given…you just have to be in the right place at the right time. Another YouTuber frequently uploads a “Jessie 31 EXPOSED” video that has all the details and links (user name is lJohnny Johnny” I believe) but she has it taken down nearly immediately. I saw it last night but was gone by morning. Just thought I’d share this since i don’t like seeing people getting duped while she rakes in millions of views for $.

I was born and raised in southwestern PA: cattywampus is just a word in general usage.
Then again, the Beverly Hillbillies reference isn’t too much off the mark either…

Been watching Billy’s antics for a while now. I’ve seen all of this woman’s videos. If it’s fake, someone needs to make a situation comedy featuring Billy. If it’s real, it’s quite frightening. Fake or not it is comedy gold.

Yes, there are many comments on her channel suspecting this is all chicanery. It’s still fun to watch though. Hell, it beats most other entertainment.
