I really do think he’s just your normal, run of the mill idiot.
I could almost pity him for having a job that’s literally impossible, except he signed up for it, hasn’t quit, and only deserves scorn.
The Anne Frank Center hasn’t minced any words about this, the latest, but certainly not the last Holocaust denial:
And also he is terrible at it. Copy-pasted from the Washington Examiner:
“I think when you come to sarin gas, there was no, he was not using the gas on his own people the same way that Ashad [sic] is doing … there was not in the — he brought them into the Holocaust center, I understand that, but I’m saying in that the way that Assad used them, where he went into towns, dropped them down, to innocent, into the middle of towns, it was brought, the use of it,” Spicer said.
I mean . . . talking is his job. WHAT EVEN IS THAT MESS
It’s mind boggling. His job is to try to put the best possible spin on the administration and communicate as well as possible in difficult circumstances. He’s the one who’s supposed to be trying to paper over other people’s messes, not create fresh ones. Still, the Trump approach is staffing the least qualified candidates for everything, so it makes perverse sense.
My money’s on the latter.
I was going to post the “why not both?” girl but she doesn’t deserve to be anywhere near this stuff.
Democrats only managed to get 51K voters out?
They got 81K in Nov.
Okay, so the Republican vote collapsed, but that was winnable if the Democrats had bothered.
Rubbish.
That’s a pathetic showing for all voters there.
Georgia 6th in a week?
They don’t bother though. They are still sailing on the “Look how bad Trump is, you’d better vote for us”
And we know how that turned out
Except the US has almost always had terrible voter turnout, and Sanders was on the ground in Kansas for Thompson. It takes some real gymnastics to blame the DNC for this one.
EDIT
I also didn’t realize how much the GOP spent on this. They will not be able to ride on free “Obama sucks” coverage, so it’s still a very bad sign for them.
Off-year elections are always tough to get out the vote.
I vote every time the polls are open because the sneaky Petes around here love to stuff the ballot with tax increase proposals. If you own a house or believe your rent is Too Damned High, you’re screwing yourself by not voting. every. single. time.
True. Election days should be holidays, on the weekends, or we should adopt Oregon’s method of mail in voting.
Ya, but then, it depends what the tax increases are for. Parks and nursing homes? Yay! Police toys and jails? Boo!
It should be a holiday, allow for mail-in ballots, and be more than a single day. There is no reason elections shouldn’t be a window of time.
^This, 'zaktly!
A holiday and mail in definitely. Placing voting on a weekend makes it inconvenient for those who have to work on them. While there are certain high paying professions that do require weekends, I believe it still would disproportionately effect the lower income and the young to place voting on weekends.
That’s a good point. National holiday would be better, in that case. But mail in voting might be the best option all around.
Georgia 6th closer to a clear win than I ever thought it would be.
