Systemic and structural sexism.
Guess that buyers remorse is really starting to kick in now.
The only thing that can save Trump’s campaign is that highly coveted Cosby endorsement.
And those are the moments when one reveals their true character.
Wait! Mitt is standing up against Trump’s comments? If he had shown this sort of moral decency and backbone against the garbage parts of the Republican party four years ago he might be president now.
On the contrary, he wasn’t terrible enough.
I’m pretty sure Mittens would have won a general election against Trump 4 years ago. But he’d have lost the GOP primary.
As backwards I find right wing/ conservative social views, and as much of a failure for everyone not wealthy their economic beliefs are, I have known plenty of Republican and Conservative Party (Canadian edition) voters who were decent people who wanted a better tomorrow and weren’t anything like the Neo-Nazi and rascist shitbags that make up the “Alt-right” that have set the course for the Repubs since the Tea Party takeover. Some of them have come to realize that the today’s Dems are now the Republican Party they voted for in decades past and have made the jump. Many more seem to be stuck in a Sox vs Yankees thing where they will vote Republican no matter what vile pieces of human filth slime their ways onto the tickets.
I think Mitt would have done much better against Obama if it was “Don’t talk shit about our wives and daughters, asshole” Mitt on the stage instead of the Daddy Warbucks he presented. I mean, Obamacare is far from perfect but that sort of universal healthcare was sort of Mitt’s thing.
tl:dr- #notallrepublicans.
Unfortunately, this is true.
I’m guessing it would be the same as this and all the other surprises that have come out on both sides: no biggie to supporters, huge to the opposition.
The ‘revered’ stuff is a bit weird, still. And he hasn’t unendorsed him…
Okay I forgot how much of a dick Jackson was in that respect… so that is a fair cop.
I disagree. The only reason this is “no biggie” to Trump supporters is that he’s been so consistently horrible that this kind of behavior is no longer shocking coming from him.
The vast majority of Hillary’s supporters would be shocked and horrified by similar revelations because she’s shown every indication of being better than this kind of thing. It certainly wouldn’t be a conversation she could wave away as “locker-room talk.”
I think even Trump supporters know deep down that disgusting sexual objectification, unwanted groping and fooling around behind your spouse’s back is Donald’s turf, not Hillary’s.
Does the possibility of a Trump presidency cause you to consider, even for a moment, that we have allowed the executive branch of the federal government to become way, way, way, way, way too powerful??
I think a lot of us felt that way by the time baby bush got into office. Then more so when they decided to gut the constitution with the patriot act.
which one specifically? I mean, there are so many
The Bush presidency did that, actually. The “we have allowed” part, though, that “we” term’s complicated. OTOH, the Congress also is utterly broken and has abused its powers utterly egregiously, and the SCOTUS is a hideous mess that’s abused its powers utterly egregiously, and in all cases it’s been a major concern. There’s no simple solution, and limiting executive authority hands powers to other people/institutions I don’t want to see with the authority. So my concerns lie most with an electorate so profoundly misinformed that they elected Bush, and a portion of them are so completely ignorant they’re considering electing Trump.

Snoop laid down some misogynistic shit in his prime but even he’s shaking his head right now at Trump’s remarks.
Snoop never ran for prezzizle.
That’s because Snoop doesn’t enforce the law, he lays the law.
