"Grab them by the pussy!" Trump was caught on hot mic boasting about what he did to women

Awaiting this Trump video. Bowing out would not shock me. But my bet is on a non-apology where he lashes out against the system, the Clintons, the media, his fellow republicans, with no sincerity of regret or apology.

Trump is a douche. We can all agree. But if those posting here are really concerned about sexual assault they really need to think about Bill Clinton as well. He’s been accused of rape and sexual assault by numerous women. If those cases boil down to his word against theirs - one would be foolish to believe a proven lier like him. And yes, I know, he’s not running. But his wife is. And she has stated that he would be part of the team in her administration. So she has no problem with having a team member who has been accused of sexual harassment, sexual assault and yes, rape.

I hate both of these candidates.

Based on the BB post, I just watched the first episode of Black Mirror, which hinges on whether the Prime Minister of England will fuck a pig on tv to save the princess’s life.

Then, I spent an hour reading #pussygate tweets. I’m not sure which is more absurd.

They have released some pretty horrible Clinton stuff on wikileaks today. I guess it is possible that enough negative stuff about HRC and DT could come out that would put Johnson in the lead, but they each have enough true believers to make that unlikely.

bowing out? ha. If Bill Clinton can stick a cigar into the nether regions of a 23 year intern in the oval office and not resign… why would Trump for just saying it? The standard was lowered 20 years ago.

Because Trump’s words reveal a man who does not understand the principle of consent. Recall that this is the same guy who said ‘You can’t rape your spouse’.

Correction: Trump’s lawyer said this, presumably in order to prevent Trump from saying it first when court was in session. (thanks, @nimelennar!)

Go watch season 2 episode 3, I think it may be more pertinent.

Two things. First this is a guy who has actively promised to erode or remove important constitutional protections. He’s already trying his damnedest to undermine our democracy with his talk of “rigged” elections, requests that Russia keep on with the manipulation, and his active recruiting of poll observers for the purpose of intimidation at the polls.

Second. I’ve got a lot of friends from Eastern Europe. The thing you keep hearing from them. And people from other nations that have had (or are having) their brushes with Trump style strong men. Once you put them in power. They never go away. The authoritarian politician has a curious habit of eroding or ignoring the very sorts of checks and balances you’re talking about. They don’t need to change laws, or engender support in the legislature. Or pass constitutional amendments. They find ways to make those go away when they threaten access to power.

Trumps platform is to effectively remove our democracy. So to cross your fingers and some how hope there’s a silver lining where he could be good for democracy in some crazy, side ways direction. Is delusion. Especially since he’s already actively bad for our democracy.

11pm Central time - CNN and MSNBC are both covering the story, while Faux News has suddenly decided that the hurricane is the only story happening. They’re showing 6 hour old video from Florida, rather than news that’s happening now. They’re basically putting their fingers in their ears, and yelling as loud as they can.

Ah, MSNBC has just started broadcasting the bullshit “apology”. Faux news is showing a live shot of someone in Florida where it’s not even raining, and there’s a light breeze.

And he’s sniffing in his “apology”.

If that is really locker room talk, one would wonder where he learned it since he admits not being an exerciser.

I’m on it.

I thought maybe he was just tired of it all. I honestly don’t think he wants to be president. I think he doesn’t want to lose, but I also think he does not want to win. So … it’s possible he is going through the motions but hoping he does not win, or he’s taking action to not win. I thought maybe he’d go out on his own terms. Anyway, it didn’t happen.

And yes, I know, he’s not running.

And yet you’re acting like he is. Good job.

This. Election. Doesn’t. Have. Bill. Clinton. As. A. Candidate.

You’re so focused on trying to pin rape on Hillary by her association with Bill, when trump is guilty of it and actually running.

FFS you’re applying a double standard redundantly.

You really want to derail this thread, it seems.

And here we have the usual horrible argument against harassment, sexual assault, etc: “This is bad because those women are related to men.” No, it’s bad because they are people.

The way Romney phrased it, it sounds like the common religious dominionist idea that “men own their women”. Notice how he specifically says wives and daughters. Also notice how he says it makes America look bad. Not great reasons any way you slice it.

But Mitt’s a mormon boy, so we can be pretty sure that he’s very concerned with purity above all else and things like consent must come second.
