Damn. Hydrogen Peroxide isn’t especially chemically nasty (because we’re oxygen-biased), but in high concentration, it’s unstable, loaded with energy and touchy as hell if not chilled. (The rocket pack in Thunderball was Hydrogen Peroxide without even burning it with fuel.)
Yeah it’s Arkema’s plant. Their backups failed and they had crews out to transfer their product to refrigerated containers as a temporary measure. It’s a real risk there will be an explosion. They are trying to find a solution that doesn’t risk the workers or the locals.
The gulf coast produces basically every chemical that makes modern life possible, and basically every plant is underwater or worse.
