He 'fumed.' Trump's unhinged anger drove decision to fire FBI's Comey, WaPo reports— citing 30+ sources

Despite his innovative use of the Twitter cycle to topple the news cycle over the last two years, it seems like his failure to grasp the continuing power of the Streisand Effect in any cycle might be a key factor in his continued unraveling: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streisand_effect

I didn’t believe this at first, so I googled… Reinhold Richard, and this somehow gets shortened to “Reince”? Which isn’t even a name. Sometimes I despair about the world…

According to WBAL in Baltimore:

The FBI confirms agents are executing a search warrant at an office of a GOP fundraiser/consulting firm in Annapolis, the 11 News I-Team has learned.

The investigation is being run out of Washington, not locally, the I-Team has learned.

The firm is touted for pioneering the use of technology in political campaigns, and it represents GOP candidates nationwide.

Unconfirmed sources say many such warrants are underway today.

It begins.

WBAL now shows a photo of this group (with FBI):

Strategic Campaign Group

Well, I’m sure his staff will be pleased to know that the president just threw their weeks of not-so-carefully-constructed cover material into the garbage.

Maybe he won’t stop doing the same things over and over; Reince and Repeat.

Yeah, that would make perfect sense. And, if the rumors I’ve seen on other sites that various GOP campaign funding organizations may have been laundering Russian money, it would be the kind of nastiness that might bring the whole party crashing down.

I suspect that’s why the FBI is at Strategic Campaign Group now. They purported to work with GOP candidates nationwide.

Apparently, the FBI as a whole is rather pissed by the recent events.

"Trump had long questioned Comey’s loyalty and judgment, and was infuriated by what he viewed as the director’s lack of action in recent weeks on leaks from within the federal government. "

It doesn’t take a genius to figure that Trump is incapable of commanding the loyalty of anybody with a degree of experience or competence within the executive branch. Even his own secretary of defense trolls him with impunity. The government is leaking like a sieve because they don’t like taking orders from stupid.

These idiots keep saying the quiet part out loud. Their malevolence is exceeded only by their stupefying incompetence.

Apparently that “deep source” was the President of the United States.

WHITE HOUSE: The President fired Comey based on recommendations from the Attorney General and after receiving a memo and recommendation from Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein.

TRUMP: Nope, I was going to fire Comey all along. That memo was just a ruse and a political ploy.

WHITE HOUSE: OMG WTF MR PRESIDENT

TRUMP: LOL. BRB, searching through Rosie O’Donnell’s Twitter.

I heard a different story about that guy’s name.

Which would be worse, him trawling Rosie’s Twitter, or him reading r/The_Donald?

Call you rep and let them know that if they don’t get that traitor out of the white house they will never win another election again. Get your money, find the other guys, and give it to him.

not relayed to Trump Russia, but more along the lines of fraud.

Probably hinges on the winkwink nudgenudge relationship between independent expenditures and the candidates.

"[Senior Advisor] Whitfield was also a director at BKSH and Associates, where he provided strategic government relations counseling. That firm was formed in 1996 when Paul Manafort and Roger Stone left Black, Manafort, Stone and Kelly and it merged with Gold and Liebengood. Manafort and Stone both went on to become close advisers to Trump. "
