Well, in that scenario presumably you were in control of the gun. If you had been infected by guns that replicated inside you and shot people without your knowledge (as in vectors spreading infection), the case would be different.

And freshwater snails probably kill very few people (maybe some with mollusk allergies?), but I bet the with the schistosomes they carry it’s an entirely different story. Same scenario with assassin bugs and tsetse flies. I think the argument could be made that these are vector specific parasites being transmitted, and the vector is “responsible” for the spread of the deadly agent.
