To conservatives the law is a tool for smiting your enemies. They can’t be allowed to burn the flag, but you can do whatever you want with it because you’re a patriot and ipso facto nothing you do can be disrespectful.

Propaganda is powerful. Turn into the dishonest “conservative voices” that permeates Rural American and you might vote for them too.
These programs are driven by a shrinking set of monopolistic media conglomerates who sell tabloid-like outrage to the highest bidder in a widely unregulated landscape.
What seems clear to me is that standing on the sidelines is a set of deep-pocketed oligarchs that would very much like to see American democracy, with its regulations (many which benefit the public), be monkey-wrenched.
An effective way to do such damage is to install “broken parts into the governmental machine.” That’s why these crazies get into office: to sabotage the democratic process.

Oh, you sweet summer child. Have you ever been in one of those establishments? The gun toters are not there to protect the girls from being molested or assaulted, no way, not by that kind of guy. Besides, this was just a case of “boys being boys,” and no one at a place like that would’ve been phased. It’s all so gross and hypocritical and sad.
