Why are we giving this lunatic the time of day?
-
There aren’t very many mountain men or cowboys left, and half of them have lung cancer.
-
No one is over turning the election. Jesus Christ, which one of them came up with this talking point? It is enforcing the laws from post election actions.

The military is not a monolith of support. I know someone whose son just joined the army and is worried about being a mercenary for the Saudis at this point.
I bet that guy doesn’t have private security
Please do not call them terrorists, they are “violent Christian extremists”.
Please please, they prefer the term “red-blooded Americans”.
These murder fantasies, more than anything else, are what persuaded me that people should probably not be allowed to own guns.
Veterans have lost all respect for Trump. And I’ll take my chances with the cowboys and the mountain men.
that sort of talk could be construed as inciting public violence.
isn’t that a crime?
“veterans, cowboys, mountain men”
Cowboys know how to fight? I thought their skills were more herding-related.
If that dude promised to hold up that sign behind the plate at the WS and had a gofundme or something to raise money for tixs, I probably would have thrown in $5.
I tend to agree, BUT I don’t think any of us can predict what snowball effect those pathetic and cowardly acts might lead to. Violence begetting violence* with a lot of vulnerable people out there who might be subject to the whims of people who have long been hoping for a chance to MAGA in their own special way.
That unpredictability combined with the admin’s utter indifference to our system of government scares the hell out of me.
*this is NOT a call for nonviolence in the face of these fucks, to be clear
It’s incredibly stupid, but definitely not a crime. The test for this kind of speech comes from Brandenburg, laying out a two part test:
- The speech is “directed to inciting or producing imminent lawless action,” AND
- The speech is “likely to incite or produce such action.”
This kind of stuff definitely doesn’t meet those tests.
The Aristocrats! American White Evangelical Protestantism!
Is this a rhetorical question?
It’s more telling than that - he’s making assumptions based on his simplistic binary worldview where “his side” is, in all things, in direct opposition to the Democrats/“libs.” Since apparently he views his side as dangerous, violent lunatics, therefore…
Because the dude has a following. It’s not like he only has a small congregation in some podunk town; he’s got his own (minor) media empire. And not only do hundreds of thousands/millions of people listen to him, he’s connected in to - and accepted by - the larger Evangelical movement, too (who are saying the same things). I.e. he’s not a random nutjob - he’s at least symptomatic of a culture that includes a sizable portion of the US.
Which is most likely to involve shooting random people of the “wrong” skin color, religion, sexual orientation and/or government workers. As usual.
OFC also just about 5 feet to the left (our viewing left) of those signs were a pair of IG models flashing the cameras.
Nice little microcosm of 'Murica.
I think it’s certainly worth law enforcement, in full gear, going to this person’s home or place of business (let me guess, a Megachurch?) to have a little “chat” with him about what you can and cannot (or should not) say about or towards government officials. Part of that “chat” should be some education about the section of the law that deals with threats and incitement to violence.
AND IT’S ALL TAX FREE like the Founding Fathers intended, praise the Lord
Weird how all the people who clutch their pearls so fiercely whenever someone posts a “less than civil” guillotine meme on the forum have yet to make any comments in this thread.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

“Huh. As if I’d waste powder fighting for that low-bred polecat. I just sent six prime beaver plews to Elizabeth Warren’s PAC.”

“Mountain men”?
