Howard Johnson is right!
Oh the coincidence; I just rewatched that movie with my kid the other night.
We can quote it almost line for line, and she even knows the words to the theme song.
We’re both veterans as well, and this man doesn’t speak for us either.
And yes, we’re also armed. Because people like this exist in the world.
The good pastor is working on a bear triple play.
So…crazy god-botherer is goddamn crazy. Got it.
Maybe there will be less violence if dRumph is removed from office. I hear him obviously and continuously asking for his “tough guys” to defend him.
Of the pastor’s six noted comments, guess which one I wouldn’t mind very much.
Considering how over represented these types are among cops, and how that exact mechanic played out in Yugoslavia, I’d say that, unless you think you can disarm the government, too, making sure that you are also armed is a much better bet.
Not sure these Mountain Men will be joining your crusade…
Did you saunter over to the DVD stack, place a hand on Blazing Saddles, look at your kid and say, “Excuse me while I whip this out”?
The veterans for impeachment sign I would imagine? We just need to find some cowboys and Mountain men (whoever they may be?!) who also are down to carry large pro impeachment banners and we’ll be golden
Cowboys
No, dude, I am pretty sure you mean cattlemen, who were/are the landowners and wouldn’t know a hard day’s work if it bit them.
The vaqueros are unlikely to defend the side you think they will.
Only in Hollywood were the majority of cowboys white.
If someone would have invent time-travel and pissed in the primordial soup, that might explain why this TL is so rich in non-essential acerbics.
Et tu, mutant?
No, but only because it was her idea to watch it again.
We did have a cool conversation that ended with her googling the real Hedy Lamarr, whom I can never praise enough…
And I’d imagine that you didn’t finish reading the entire thread before deciding to reply to me; I already got my answer, four times over, thanks.
She has good taste.
You are very welcome.
You are very welcome.
You are very welcome.
You are very welcome.
I was wondering why they haven’t made a miniseries about her amazing life, but a quick check shows that there’s one currently in development starring Gal Gadot.
I always love that line from the governor referencing Lamarr’s legendary litigiousness: “What the hell are you worried about? This is 1874. You’ll be able to sue her!”
Nice job condensing that down to just one reply; hopefully that will suffice!
She was known for suing people?
ETA:
Thanks!
