In-N-Out donates $25,000 to California Republican Party, under Trump. There's a boycott.

But taxes and regulations on businesses are just like slavery! /s

Glad they are in mine. 3×3 is my favorite junk food ever.
Politics and religion be damned. Give me liberty and a side of fries, with a real ice cream shake or give me… Oh wait if I ate it all the time it might be death!

Seriously, a big double burger, nuggets, and a corn dog…throw in that carmel fudge shake for $1…

Fuck it, the rest of my day is ruined, food coma for hours.

Maybe the management thought that it will be a good approach, but they made the wrong move.

Just hold on now… the Blue Moon is a place with peanut shells on the floor.
Right?
How long ago was that?

You’re not wrong.

Here’s another guy that I can’t stand to watch either; Josh Brolin.

Peanut shells on the floor would be Five Guys (or a pizza place I went to all of once when I lived in St.Louis). Blue Moon has all of 3 locations total and they are in the Seattle city limits.

I think it is a poor tactic. It sort of seems like it would work, but I think it is like strategic bombing. All this name calling and intimidation is supposed to make people afraid to admit they have conservative views, but I think it may just serve to strengthen people’s resolve.
And calling someone a fascist when they know for a fact they are not is never a great way to get them to join your movement.
Actual fascists or neo-nazis or whatever would probably enjoy all the fighting and insults.
But it is hard to believe that most people believe all this rhetoric. I suspect if there were 63+ million fascists in the US, things would be noticeably different than they are.
Also, according to Gallup polling, most surviving WW2 veterans identify as republicans. It stands to reason that many or most of those are people who have literally fought fascism, some doing things like liberating concentration camps. Very unlikely fascists.

So, reflecting on this, it seems very selective. I am curious about who is pushing this boycott, what their motivations are. Lots of companies donate to both parties, including Apple, Microsoft, Cisco, and Google.

The National Restaurant Association, of which several chains mentioned here are members, donates almost 80% to GOP organizations and candidates. Examples include Five Guys, Johnny Rockets, White Castle, and likely others.

There are millions of people who voted for Trump but would never publically admit it. I bet some boingers did, too, although they know way better than to say so here.

Ahh yeah… have only wandered in there once and do not recall peanut shells. It is a nice place though.

During the campaign, Trump spoke at an event in a town near where I was, and they had protesters outside, spitting on people as they left the event. I remember one old man who said he attended because he was in town on vacation, and just wanted to see Trump out of curiosity, and because he was famous.
Whatever his political affiliations before the event, I imagine being spat on probably made a bigger impression on him than whatever Trump had to say at the event.

Yeah, great place. I, I guess it is still in operation?
That’s just crazy.

There used to be The Rainbow right next door.
It was a great place for a show.

I’ve always found the name a turn off. To me, it’s not that the customer will be “In n out”… it’s the food that’ll be doing that.

To me, it sounds like a double entendre.

cue Clockwork Orange:

“Bit of the ol’ in-and-out…”

That does not look like the kind of interior one should subject to fast food

I just got back from 5 Guys and it has been a few years…but it is damn expensive for what it is. Like I posted up thread, at Cook Out you can get a large burger, 2 sides, and a drink for $6. Even with the little burger, you are over $10 at the Guys. I mean for the same price as the “regular” cheeseburger, fries, and drink I can go to a sit down, waitress served, restaurant and get a better burger. Don’t get me wrong, Five Guys has good burgers…they just need to be 30% cheaper.
