Sounds like the co-host said it…but nobody really denied it either.
I legitimately feel concerned for her even if i can’t relate to her situation at all
Yeah the voice_over between the camera from Howard to them leaves me with some doubt that ivanka really did say that, but like you said, it wasn’t denied
That was definitely the co-host Robin Quivers.
(I didn’t want to admit I knew that earlier but, in my defense, I had a rideshare at work and the driver insisted on listening to Howard Stern. I can’t stand that guy. (The driver and Howard Stern))
- shrugs * but its still messed up that ivanka didn’t care as much to actually defend him
After our last women’s march here in argentina, we had unidentified officers performing a razzia on 20 innocent women, without identification, beating them. 3 of them were hospitalized. They were only released after a habeas corpus recourse was presented.
We’ve had about 7 more movilizations since, the last one moving about half a million people. The police are still out of control.
Fear is no excuse. Get to the streets.
He’s “Senior WH Advisor to the President”:

And all things “take a while to get sorted out” in the trump White House, because the longer it takes the less interested anyone is in looking deeper, and that vague state allows shenanigans of all sorts. He shouldn’t be there in the first place and the Ethics people should be screaming bloody murder.
This. Her ethics are apparently about as strong as trump’s are–and by that I mean both of them want power and don’t give two watery shits about ethical issues unless they’re an obstacle to obtaining power.
And the GOP sails onward, happily ignorant and voting to stay that way…
That isn’t much of a limb to go out on for a prediction though.
You better bet your lucky stars these might_very_well_be quacks are right, and that who ever goes for it succeeds, respectfully ._.
It sucks wanting the president dead, its not moral, but he’s so crazy
The great thing about being a Professional Nepotism Professional is that it is logically impossible to be bad at your job: if you actually do something of use and deliver value for your paycheck, your performance vastly exceeds expectations; while if your performance…shatters zero stereotypes…you are demonstrating a mastery of your job description that mere peons could never hope to match.
I like this because I assume you meant you cannot relate.
If you canrelate then I really feel awful for where you must have been to be able to relate to THAT!
Lol yeah that’s my bad, I’ve been having typos throughtout the day

I’m heartened by the fact that the scandals and scrutiny of the White House are snowballing. But in terms of legal action/impeachment, it takes a while to get the ball rolling. Investigations in the Russia stuff are still ongoing and that started well before the election. All the stuff that’s happened since he got into office may be moot in light of that, but if it’s worth pursuing it’ll take months/years to sort out.
I am shocked that Trump isn’t getting as much pushback as he should - the GSA’s ruling on his Washington hotel was inexplicable given that he’s blatantly violating the terms. Unfortunately it seems that a lot of the ethics rules governing the president are purely voluntary - or at least they’re being treated that way, so far. (That Trump is making no effort to comply with them, and facing no apparent consequences, makes the extensive lengths that all previous candidates went through to do so rather odd.)
“A thin veneer of what appears to be capitalism but is really just nihilistic cost-cutting designed to project the optics of efficiency” is a great line.
Unfortunately; it’s a terrible idea.
I get that you’re angry. Look, you’ve put yourself as being from a country mine helped fuck up. You go out regardless because the state is so wholly corrupt that the corruption doens’t even have to hide what it is. The people we’re working against WANT us at eachother’s throats. That keeps us weak, divided, and unable to unify making it easier to paint us as hooligans with nothing better to do, and easier to corral up (metaphorially as we aren’t yet so bad off people are just up and arrested. they kinda need to have a plausible excuse…’
I am sorry for my language, however I take to people that talk down to me very dimly. Think as you will, but not everyone is suitd either in temperment or outright capability for protests. Then you have location concerns. America is a BIG place with people far flung. Protesting might not be the best way to go about things if it’s just you and three other people in a three hour radius, and in my personal case I personally am incapible of driving, have no network of ligkeminded people I feel I can rely on FOR transport, and I m located nowhere important enough that a gaggle of people would get any sort of media attention.
So again, I am sorry for snapping at you, as it’s counterproductive at bst and distructive at worst, but we need something that’s les likely to be Occupy Part 2.
Thanks for a more down to earth message. I’m sorry too.
I understand where you are coming from, I think. But our common enemy won’t wait until we get our go go gadget perfect plan ready to go. Prepare, of course. But in the meantime voices need to be heard. Specially in cities, where critical mass is more than achievable. This is not moot, ever.
Protest works. The brazilians were manipulated into impeaching Dilma for far less than the mess than you guys have in your hands right now. America used to have a really vibrant protest culture, full of rightly angry people. i really believe it’s time to bring that back.
The hooligan stereotype will be there whatever we do. Might as well light some flares.
And as for places with not that much of a population, I’ve seen some really good strategies taken from the tea party, they seem pretty viable.
Something to keep in mind is the Tea Party is about as Grass Roots as One Direction or Milly Cyrus. That is to say Not at all. The Tea Party was ‘grown’ by big money and business interests with care to try giving it a veneer of a bottom up approach. That it appeals to a lot of people says volumes for how angry america is, and how successful the Koch brothers were at hiding their involvement.
So if something worked for them you have to look and go ‘did this thing that work require a ton of behind the scenes money to make happen?’ Because with all that said, if it works it works and we need to use it.
Yeah, I know. They still were able to exert influence in law making, without numbers, or popular support.(Admittedly, the Koch Bros helped circunvent that) But right now you have those.
I found it! it’s called indivisible now. I’m sure most boingboingers have seen thism, but what the hell. Maybe some haven’t.
There is a long and unpleasant history of elites courting unhinged extremist types and using those extremists against their rivals and enemies, all the while thinking that they can control the extremists, or that they are exempt because they’re rich and powerful.
I have no idea if Kushner actually is cooperating with Bannon or not, but if he was, it would not be the first time that someone has been fooled into thinking that nothing bad can happen to them.
