I know who she is and what happened to her and itâs partially his fault⊠Farage doesnât care, because sheâs only collateral damage on the road to what he thinks is best for the UK.
Wow. British leave wins, half a trillion dollars wiped out on the market before the market has even opened in London. The pound is now at the lowest point in 31 years.
This is not going to be good.
Yes so much easier to believe the majority that voted are racist, bigots. Those xenophobic, simpleton, working class fools just donât know whatâs good for them, if only they would let the elites handle everything, all would just be peachy keen.
I have no doubt not everyone voted because theyâre racist⊠however, if the racists win, what does that actually matter? Not everyone who is supporting Trump is racist, but what does that matter if he manages to unleash the racists on the rest of us.
Celebrities are weighing in with poorly formed and poorly received opinions.
Given the consensus among experts that this was a terrible, terrible idea, the already forming economic crisis and current implosion of the pound, I think itâs safe to say the people who voted Leave didnât know whatâs good for them, so what exactly are you trying to say? That the morons who made a shockingly ignorant, and foolish choice for reasons that were regularly expressed in racist and xenophobic terms should be given the benefit of the doubt that they were just nice, tolerant morons, rather than xenophobic, racist morons? That foolish people with ugly, stupid, dangerous ideas should be treated more politely? Is it just that itâs too soon to judge the racist, xenophobic vitriol dripping from UKIP and the Brexit supporters?
That only straight white men know whatâs best for the rest of us, and if weâd only roll over and let them fuck us for eternity, the world would be a better place? /s
Ugh⊠this is depressing.
How exactly is racism going to be unleashed on us?
[ETA] Why not ask Jo Cox that question⊠oh wait, you canât cause some racist shit stain killed her.
Yes the economic experts âThe curious task of economics is to demonstrate to men how little they really know about what they imagine the can design.â
â Friedrich Hayek
So rather than listen to the experts, letâs listen to the racist demagogues. Theyâve always had very reliable analyses.
Going to be? It has beenâŠhence, the vote tally.
The thing we call civilization is made by us, by human beings. We can make it what we want. It doesnât have to be what it is.
We donât get the civilization we want. We get the civilization we deserve, and people, generally, suck.
Exactly what those who voted did.
It doesnât have to be this way.
Well, Iâm sure youâre pleased. Bully for you.
soâŠ
Does anyone else feel the desire to buy John Oliver a drink in commiseration for how pissed-off and disappointed heâs probably feeling right now?
Well, looks like this is the year for political experiments. We truly live in interesting times.
May God help us all.
