If he didn’t try to declare bankruptcy during the trials and his divorce, he might have had a better shot at doing so. But he acted in typical Jones d-bag style and therefore got his finances on the radars of various courts.

It’s just crazy to me that it hasn’t happened sooner.
He tried to move everything and declare bankruptcy months ago.
Can’t they do something like when they evaluate a suspect as someone who has a high probability of leaving the country and take their passport away and freeze people’s assets who are extremely rich douche-bag assholes??

Not sure how much of this is due to the perception that the justice system moves quickly when it really doesn’t vs. the kid glove treatment provided to privileged people. :woman_shrugging:t4: I remain amazed that more wealthy GOP/GQP folks don’t flee the country, but that might be another sign that their ability to hide assets isn’t that good.
