The Strip is its own zone and distinct from the rest of the city. It is … interesting. You can see people walking down the avenue sipping oversize alcoholic drinks at all hours of the day, for example. More frisky fun is on offer in the town, too. But my understanding is that the Strip casinos are quite strict. Show up with a hooker and take her upstairs? They are going to be on your case, you are going to be on the street, and you are going to be on a persona non grata list.
Just reminded me of a hotel, a very slick Marriott, in Baku, Azerbaijan where all night long you heard the knock knock of hookers coming to do business and the morning after there was a steady stream of them pouring out of the elevators and strolling thru the lobby like they owned the place. Persona grata.
Holy shit I had no idea there was any hotel doing something like that.
I will make sure that not only do I never go to Vegas but I never go to Caesars. It’s like there is absolutely no line to panoptikon anywhere in the world now everyone is a frightened child in front of a camera and a voyeur is somewhere on the other end making money off of all of it
Not really surprised. Caesars is kind of scummy, i would recommend staying in the casinos that locals typically go to instead. South Point Casino is pretty good and not that far from the strip, might not be as convenient as actually being on Las Vegas Blvd but frankly the whole experience is pretty overrated. Another alternative would be to stay in any of the casinos on Freemont, Golden Nugget being among the best.
