I know all the arguments about holding our ground, not abandoning our brothers and sisters in hell, and all that. But there comes a time when you just have to say, if you possibly can, GET THE FUCK OUT!!!
I canโ€™t help but feel like to say otherwise would be like telling Jews in 1930โ€™s Germany to stick around and try to change the system. There are folks who can fight the battles without (at least currently) risking their lives and freedoms, but even that gets riskier all the time. MoRon is deploying the might of the state to crush those who would dare to oppose him, and the populations on the bullโ€™s eye just donโ€™t have the firepower to go against him at this point. Somehow, he managed to out-Texas Texas. Until the Nat-Cโ€™s are recognized for what they are and crushed absolutely, those most vulnerable to their depredations need to find safety. Now.

A lot of innocent people are going to be murdered. Especially those from disfavored communities.

Also, the first thing that popped into my head when I heard that part (the โ€œexecutionโ€ part) of Penceโ€™s speech was this line: โ€œNow, weโ€™re gonna give you a fair trial, followed by a first-class hanginโ€™!โ€. I definitely got the feeling that requiring a conviction prior to execution had never occurred to him as part of this plan.

How weird. Who would have expected that taking actions that strongly appear to have racist motivations behind them might cause people to suspect you might be racist? It boggles the mind!

(Unless youโ€™re actually rational, of course, in which case itโ€™s freaking OBVIOUS whatโ€™s going on. Yeesh.)

The bill would specifically authorize this โ€œadministrative oversightโ€ if an election complaint is filed with the secretary of stateโ€™s office and the secretary of state has โ€œgood cause to believe that a recurring pattern of problems with election administration or voter registration exists in the county.โ€

Of course, this would require impossible occurances, like maybe, oh, a Democrat winning? Oh, sweet baby Jesus, the shit is truly coming to a boil.

Probably Thiel? It seems that heโ€™s better at flying under the mainstream radar?

Nonononono, that is โ€œTHEโ€ Free Press, just like โ€œTHEโ€ Ohio State U. No one could possibly confuse it with just plain old Free Press without the article! It is unpossible! (/s)

And howโ€™s that โ€œUniversity of Austinโ€ gig going?

Palantir cofounder Joe Lonsdale.

Yeah, the president of my alma mater is on the board

I wrote the alumni office to tell them this made my giving and estate planning much easier, and they should take me off their mailing list. No response at all.

Austin is looking to be over as a progressive oasis with the influx of conservative techbros.
