Well, on this we do agree. I just disagree that Media Matters reporting things that Musk has admitted are true but he doesn’t want reported constitutes such a thing. Now, Faux News, NewsMax, and so on, whole different story!

I guess Media Matters will be suing the Missouri AG too. In federal court in Maryland. Which is not going to be a friendly venue for the asshats and will require they shell out even more taxpayer money to either send attorneys there, if they have any admitted to that federal district, or hire attorneys who can practice in that federal district.

The thing is, some folks did see someone like him coming… there is certainly a contingent of scholars and journalists who have been paying attention to the Christian dominionists for years now (I’m sure people remember the Jesus Camp movie from a few years back)… just because the MSM did not take it seriously, doesn’t mean others were not focused on that movement and taking it seriously…
I do think this shows how the media does need to do a better job on listening to scholars and investigative journalists who do this kind of work on the far right, because it’s always kind of there, and far too many just like to ignore them, because “it can’t happen here”… well, it can, and it’s time for that to be taken seriously by our chattering classes…

In response to the president’s message, which labeled Donald Trump as a threat to democracy, John Schneider wrote, “Mr. President, I believe you are guilty of treason and should be publicly hung. Your son too. Your response is…? Sincerely, John Schneider.”
