Instead of blaming the guy who refused to pay the bill (again)…
It’s like they don’t believe in capitalism and would prefer socialism.
and decent public transportation. oh, the horror!
A subtle case of leopards eating faces?
Personally, I enjoy cow’s milk. I enjoy the low prices and widespread aavailabilty.
Or looking in the mirror and blaming that guy, according to some reports:
In 2012 this would have been the biggest story of the week in politics. These days it barely registers as a blip
Watching the fearless leader head bop and dance to 90’s music for 39 minutes is the new fascism. I didn’t have that one on my bingo card.
Dumping Cruz and Rick Scott would be a good day.
i’m doing my part with my vote for Debbie Mucarsel-Powell to defeat skeletor.
now y’all in texas need to come through for Mr.Allred!
let’s do this!
I just wish the guy running against Cruz wasn’t transphobic.
I’m not sure Allred is transphobic. Just willing to toss trans people under the bus to appear more moderate. Which isn’t any less infuriating but may mean he doesn’t use his power once elected to actively hurt trans people. Which contrasts sharply with Cruz, who would absolutely vote for a national ban on gender affirming care and everything else he could think of to hurt trans people.
Allred’s staked a lot of “moderate” positions to appeal to Republicans. I can’t find the article now, but someone (Texas Tribune?) wrote about how his Senate campaign is more conservative than his voting record. Like how he’s been keeping distanced from Kamala. The article theorized that Allred’s campaign believes Beto didn’t win against Cruz because he was too progressive, so they decided to push Allred as less progressive. At the same time, Cruz’s campaign is working very hard to gaslight everyone into believing he is moderate and an enthusiastic supporter of bipartisan government.
I’m really angry Allred responded to Cruz’s transphobic ads at all and the way he responded
Maybe you’re right. Though he did double down at the debate.
In his debate with Ted Cruz, Allred was confronted with his support for the Equality Act and his opposition to the “Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Bill”—a bill that would ban transgender athletes from competing in sports. During the debate, he appeared somewhat flustered and erratic and reaffirmed his stance against “boys in girls’ sports” when asked about his support for transgender participation in sports.
I don’t think he’ll be as bad as Cruz, but after a couple months of dealing with transphobic ad after ad, I’m worn down and unwilling to extend charity to anyone.
In politics, I don’t care what’s really in your heart.
I care about your actions.
I also care about your opponents actions- which makes for some shitty - but necessary - choices.
This sounds a bit like the discussions in the pro-Palestinian groups, where Biden sucks, but Trump sucks way worse. On this issue (in both cases) it truly is a “vote for the lesser evil” sort of decision. Not voting cedes the territory to the folks who are violently opposed to our position, but voting blue (in these cases) only seems to get us someone who doesn’t really care, which, don’t get me wrong, is better than the alternative. But really hard to get excited about. So, vote for the one who doesn’t care if you live or die, or for the one who absolutely wants you dead. We should have a better choice, but it is a small step in the right direction, I guess?
Fox News’ Jesse Watters: “Kamala wants to win the Black vote with free money and drugs”
Watters: “Did Kamala even come up with this pitch? Or did her white handler sit around thinking, ‘Black people love handouts and getting high.’”
This guy deserves one of those Nazis one punch treatments.
While the number of people involved remains small, the participation of active military and veterans gave extremist plots more potential for mass injury or death, according to data collected and analyzed by the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism, or START, at the University of Maryland. START researchers found that more than 80% of extremists with military backgrounds identified with far-right, anti-government or white supremacist ideologies, with the rest split among far-left, jihadist or other motivations.
I don’t want to be an alarmist, but I really do worry about post-election violence. Whatever you see as getting you and yours prepared, you should probably give some thought, and action, to.
Left or right punch?
