In the United States, this tradition has been heavily revised. The scope and breadth of an inmate’s ability to bring a DNA-based claim of actual innocence varies greatly from state to state. The Supreme Court has ruled that convicted persons do not have a constitutional due process right to bring DNA-based post-conviction “actual innocence” claims. District Attorney’s Office v. Osborne , 557 U.S. 52 (2009). Thus, the way such claims are handled may vary greatly from one jurisdiction to the next.
He was found guilty, so actual innocence in not material, I guess? I’m sure his complexion plays no role whatsoever. It’s not like he was convicted of killing a BLM protestor or anything.
I’m no fan of the death penalty to begin with, and this is why.

That’s not really a fair comparison. Hitler was convicted of treason prior to his authoritarian takeover. My fingers are crossed that Trump will be, too, but he hasn’t even been charged with it yet.

When one of [the] poll workers questioned Wahl’s ID, Wahl asked the Limestone County Probate judge to have that poll worker removed. The poll worker, Clyde Martin, was later told his services were no longer needed.
