Nands aren’t even in there.
Yup, Trump loves lynch mobs.
There is no such thing as “armed protest”. If you bring guns to a public demonstration, you are not engaged in peaceful protest. You are giving threats of violence to law enforcement and those outside the mob.
But if you legally bring a BB gun as a 12 year old into a Wal-Mart, you will probably be shot.
Yeah, but not a white 12-year-old.
If you bring guns to a public demonstration, you are not engaged in peaceful protest. You are giving threats of violence to law enforcement and those outside the mob.
That’s not quite correct. Here’s the corrected version:
If you are not white and bring guns to a public demonstration, you are not engaged in peaceful protest. You are giving threats of violence to law enforcement and those outside the mob.
As the black panthers demonstrated.
Welcome to the real face of ignorant America-
Violent, irrational gun toting morons, as far as the eye can see.
Best way to dispel them?
Start coughing, I bet these fools scatter like the flies they are. Except that would probably land you in jail.
Reason magazine’s take may be interesting:
'That Michigan is one of the first places seeing substantial pushback against state stay-at-home orders is no random occurrence. Whitmer has instituted one of the nation’s most severe stay-at-home policies, banning everything from the sale of paint to the use of motor-powered boats (but not canoes) while the state-run lottery remains “essential.” The whole mess highlights the sadly symbiotic relationship between authorities taking things too far and people (some reasonably and strategically, some carelessly and imprudently) reacting in ways that provoke more draconian policies.
Americans have proven quite willing to play along with social-distancing directives when these directives are narrowly tailored to stopping the spread of COVID-19. If there’s a lesson from Michigan for other states, it’s that imposing overly-strict rules or trying to sneak pet policy transformations into precautionary measures will provoke backlash that makes public health goals even more difficult to reach. If state and local leaders want their people to consent to COVID-19 emergency measures and be partners in public health, rather than antagonists, they should look to Whitmer’s examples as what not to do.’
o_0 don’t these people realize Dear Leader is telling them to stay home too?
Somewhere there are fucking morons that are embarrassed by these guys…
Is not the usual response to armed people threatening mayhem to call in a SWAT team and start shooting the perpetrators?
Um, yeah…
Edited to add:
It’s the potential irony of one group of armed fascists taking down another group of armed fascists that is sort of appealing in a strictly theoretical sense.
Clearly, the Dear Leader’s actual meaning is only revealed to True Believers. If you’re not one, it’s understandable that you would interpret his words incorrectly.
The Confederate flag is just to honor all the Michiganders who died fighting at Gettysburg.

Does Reason bother to mention that a national GOP PAC, America Rising Squared has made Michigan their personal project for the upcoming election, and that the centerpiece of their efforts was the formation Michigan Rising Action, which has focused much of it’s energy and huge warchest on painting Michigan’s Democratic governor’s COVID response as overreach? Megan McCain even retweeted Tori Sachs (the head of MRA, and high profile GOP campaign officer) with righteous indignation because they claim the Governor ordered Walmart to stop selling carseats. Turns out that was just walmart’s interpretation of “don’t sell nonessential goods?”
Things don’t just “figure” this is a concerted effort and any blood is on their hands.
Michigan nurse helping out in NYC writes righteous response to Lansing protesters
Michigan nurse voluntarily deployed to NYC pens righteously pissed off response to the idiot protesters in her home state. Seriously, read her:
Currently I’m eating lunch in NYC next to not one, not two, not three but FOUR refrigerator trucks full of dead bodies. Did you know the first one was just delivered to one of our major hospitals in Detroit? I left my husband and three children to voluntarily deploy to NYC to help with the crisis and now I’m going to be returning in a few weeks to watch the same absolute horror unfold in my own city. […]
Look at all the smiles. Gun-loving losers just absolutely adore stepping out in their gear and seeing who’s got the latest technical vest.
Ain’t no circle-jerk like a gunhumper circle-jerk.
