Major airlines won't fly kidnapped children anymore, but Trump is still welcome in the UK

I think that proves once and for all that time travel to the past is absolutely impossible.

Standard tactic used by dictators and political strongmen (and of course Hitler). Create a crisis, blame crisis on your opponents, “solve” crisis while leaving those affected to twist in the wind. Rinse, repeat.

I do not disagree. Just figuring the leaders of the ally nations may have more optimism left in them then we do.

Remember, Norwegian immigrants are A-OK. So if Norway took them in, gave them citizenship, then they requested immigration to the US…

it’s important to understand the order he issued today doesn’t actually undo the original policy and that they have no idea how to implement it because it doesn’t undo the detention of people asking for asylum

so now instead of babies in 100 degree tents, it’s going to be babies with their mother in 100 degree tents

Obama did what they distastefully call “catch and release”

but there’s no release under the trump policy, he is purposely trying to cause an overflow human crisis

as a side-thought I am curious how this got done but not sandy hook, the media is claiming that it was because of the live pictures and video and I guess in some horrible way that’s true? it is going to take live video of an elementary school shooting to put the smallest dent in background checks and loopholes?

If – hypothetically – they were made citizens of Norway, why on earth would they want to give that up to slide back under Trump’s thumb?

Heck, if I could become a citizen of Norway, I would never come back.

Trump might come to the UK but trust me when I say that he will not be “welcome”.

WTF? Where are their legs? How do they move? What madness is this?

I’m sure they did before G7. Now? I think they know how pointless it is to engage him.

It took me a while to realize they were all pillows (including the Queen). Now that I realize that, I’m wondering what madness this is.

The Queen has got her wand in her purse. It just takes a good Substitutiary Locomotion spell to get them going.

Could the Queen at least refuse to meet with the creature?

I agree. So he arrives, gets massively protested at, and gets to meet PM May - only. Not the Queen of Canada, head of a nation labelled a security threat to his own country. No meeting the queen. She deserves better than to be subjected to that asshat.

17 Million people killed by the Nazis in WW II.

Separating children from their parents at the border is awful. Your comment equivocating child separation and detainment with the deaths of 17 million people is pretty awful too. Perhaps you were trying to say something else?

Every journey of 17 million deaths, starts with a single step, non?

Ahem. Charles I. Charles II is the guy we brought in after Cromwell.

The Nazis did an awful lot of bad stuff before they got around to killing the 17 million people in camps. They got a bad name with right-thinking people way before that. And, you know, putting people in the camps was certainly part of that.

Before accusing people of equivocating, try making sure that they actually are doing that.

Trump is most decidedly NOT welcome here in the UK. It’s only our out of touch and elitist Tory (minority) government who apparently still want him to visit, and I doubt that even that is unanimous.

Fuck Trump.
