You have my sympathy on the bugs; in the past, I’ve lived in both the South and on a Caribbean island.
From flying roaches to centipede infestations to No-See 'ems, I am not a fan.

*lolz
Would you believe that I lived in an area with so few mosquitoes that I actually kind of forgot all about them for a while ?
Until I moved to a tropical island, that is; the reality check my first week there was harsh, and I quickly re-learned the value of OFF! and other bug repellents.
In the spirit of this other BB thread:
Before I moved there, I thought that the worst part of living in the upper Midwest was winter.
I was wrong.

Assterisx? The dinosaur that was big behind? Occluded? My, that is large.
I had an idea to make one on the way to work:
I am not sure how to post it though… hold on…

Parasites?
Man, some of you all got some Kansas hate. It’s a pretty laid back state overall, though the recent governor has really fucked things up.
William Burroughs spent the last few decaces of his life (moved there in the 70s, I think) in Lawrence Kansas, FWIW. Though Lawrence is a college town and probably not entirely representative of the rest of the state. I guess everyone immediately thinks of Thomas Frank and imagine that’s the whole state and everyone there?
