Okay! Makes sense! Just my knee-jerk reaction of injecting some context into the conversation!
“But what about it coming out looking freaky weird and unnatural?”
“That’s what it actually looks like.”
“Oh. Oh god.”
gas pedal
Electron pedal? Lithium ion pedal?
Analog VFD frequency controller?
Velocitator, of course. You know, the pedal next to the deceleratrix
… and there is a section expressly mentioning that the truck has to be switched into “Car Wash Mode” before washing to avoid damage to parts of the vehicle.
Yet another expensive vehicle weakness (hear me, Ferrari and Lambo owners out there) that perhaps some Cybertruck owners will declare to be just another one of its charming attributes. Ah, me.
For a moment, I thought those were maggots.
Well, the name of the pedal aside, I am happy for Elon Musk. He really wanted this truck to be something out of an old science fiction movie, and now it has had its very own Total Recall.
The top one is basically Simone Luna Louise Söderlund Giertz’s DIY Tesla pickup truck.
The middle one is your generic four-door-cab pickup truck sold in the US (and only in the US) by a non-US automaker.

Not a quality control issue , just really bad design. The operation of the “gas” pedal will naturally, and obviously, push any pedal cover forward. So it’s a no-brainer that the cover should have been installed by sliding it on from back to front. Then pedal use would make the cover fit yet more firmly.

- This one looks Rivian crossed with Toyota Tacoma TRD; it even has the Rivian light bar across the tailgate.
- I see a lot of Ineos Grenadier in this one, if they made a long wheelbase version and someone created an unrealistically-big camper for it.

The good news is it’s built in the Smart watch car factory in France. To look like it was shat out of a Transformer’s metal arse. By billionaire Brexiter hypocrites.
