So let’s imagine that they are able to install Trump as speaker of the house… third in line for the presidency if Joe and Kamala are incapacitated… it doesn’t take much brain power to conjure up a scenario where that might happen (and there are a fair amount of low-brainpower agitants out there)

Once the laser clears the lower atmosphere, it is considered to be in the same time zone as Israel.
In the ancient times, if an astronaut made an error in the operation of the laser, they were stoned, had their head shaved and were put in isolation for a month until they were declared pure. Nowadays, this routine is recognized as inhumane and inconvenient, and a good telling off is considered sufficient.

The further they go into the Trump sycophancy swamps the more comprehensive and thorough the various prosecutions need to be. Find literally everyone who is involved in the crime, racketeering, insurrection, bribery and every other thing and bring them to justice. This is quite literally the only thing that will save you.
It needs to be made extremely clear to anyone at all over the next 100 years that crime cannot and will not pay at the top of the power structure. That, or the US is just another collapsing empire with out-of-touch aristocrats playing Game of Thrones while the people starve.
Edited to add: Also they need to be completely, utterly shattered in the next few elections. So that nobody ever will think that a path to power is to whip up the angry edge cases into a lunatic froth, and steal the elections.

Only the awfulest Republicans want to be Speaker. Trump becoming Speaker would be a nightmare. The House would descend into chaos. Nothing important would get passed and that’s exactly what Putin wants. As for Gym Jordan, he would be awful too. The words I want to use might get boinked.

It’s not that he’s decieving people, i don’t think he has the intelligence to do that, but people seem to like him because he’s an utter garbage person?
Mistaken view that he’ll shit on the people they hate but not them maybe? (in that case they’re fools, he cares only for himself and has made no secret of that)
