He can’t pardon anyone from prison.

First plea deals get the best plea deals guys.

This is why the GOP wasn’t able to accomplish anything beyond right-wing judicial appointments during Trump’s administration. They absolutely HATE each other. The whole party is a dysfunctional mob unified only by the need to destroy.

I’m sure lil ol’ Huckleberry is just droppin’ to his fainting couch as he discovers the consequences of making common cause with fascists.

It’s in their nature. The debased will to power is so central to their ideology that fascists always start fighting amongst themselves long before they’ve eliminated their common enemies.

You know, Marge, if you hadn’t made yourself radioactive and gotten yourself thrown off all your committees maybe you could have introduced legislation to improve conditions in the DC jail for those accused insurrectionists.

Or if you had an ounce of interpersonal skills you could convince Lindsay to introduce such legislation. Instead you act like a rabid shrew and so burn any bridges you may still have available to you.

What IS it with right-wingers and effin’ haircuts?! Why is a haircut a hill they’re willing to die on, again and again?

This woman really deserves every bit of scorn coming her way.

Welll, that doesn’t sound cult-like at all. Not even a little bit.

Uh… he can be elected into office while imprisoned though…

It will get all types of surreal when he wants to be “released” to “home-detention” in the White House. And a judge will have to rule on his flight risk. And all issued regarding his detainment are appealed to the SCOTUS. He will wear a ankle bracelet in the Oval Office.

Oh wait, but he could pardon himself on Jan 20th, 1201pm, after he takes the oath of office by video relay.

There’s nothing that says he can’t but an OLC opinion (and his DOJ Krakens can simply write a revised opinion). Then, all that matters are the 6 blackrobed Republicans lifers who will affirm that, sure, he is totally cool.

Plus, the OLC will probably argue that a state charge is only enforceable until after he leaves office. Because the only “real” way to remove him is: Impeachment. (And anyway: extradition? From the Washington, DC? By his Justice Dept? I dont think so.) Oh, and every process will get appealed/delayed at every turn take 2 years each time.

It’s dubious that he can pardon himself.

Additionally- he can’t pardon himself from state crimes - like what he appears to be facing in Georgia.

And he’s going to have a very difficult time running a campaign from prison. Limited phone time. No internet. No public appearance. Etc

Though he should look color coordinated in an orange jumpsuit. That works.

In anticipation of the same old “let them fight meme”. . . I am struck by how much this really is like one of those vintage Godzilla movies-- the monsters are all ridiculous and hard to believe, and the fighting is awkward and silly, and ends up destroying the country for no good reason.

“He doesn’t care about our justice system being completely violated by Democrats in their political war against Republicans and President Trump.”

With her level of projection, I’m surprised that Taylor Green isn’t being used as a satellite launch system.

Skorne, incoming!

Edit: I’m really tickled that Trump’s skin tone required no colour correction.

Don’t count on Lindsay Graham to save you, or let others use the milquetoast Rs to represent the party. MTG is the essence of what the Rs will do in power. We need to win these midterms!
