My hopes and prayers are with him. But not in the conventional sense. (That’s all I’ll say.)

I guess it’s not brown or immigrant folks spreading COVID around Texas after all. Hmmm.

The good news is that his vaccination will allow him to bounce back and demonstrate to his constituents the benefits of being vaccinated. Meanwhile, anti-vaccine GOP politician Pressley Stutts is on a ventilator and likely to give up his ghost any day now.

Here we see Gov Abbott at his very own super spreader event last night! Weeeeeee!

Abbott’s been paralyzed below the waist since 1984. I would tend to assume his wedding tackle (as Austin Powers might put it) became nonfunctional at the time of that injury. Could be wrong.

He and his wife have one daughter, adopted. The daughter turned 24 this year, putting her adoption somewhere at or after 1997.

OH. I did not know that. Womp womp.

Though I remember on the show Highway to Heaven there was a character who was quadriplegic and he, through some process I don’t recall, was able to have kids.

Happened to Jason Street and an initially-one-night fling character who became his partner in Friday Night Lights too.

That’s the “milkman” system, as it is called in New Jersey when I was just a lad.

Rich old Texans? They’ve got to be mostly vaxxed.

He even got a booster shot that the rest of us can’t yet get (on top of the Regeneron treatment that no one with his symptoms - or lack thereof - should be getting).

That noise you’re hearing is the Rich folks at the event burning rubber to their doctors office.

I hope the “No symptoms” part isn’t true.

BTW, note how the daily cases chart for Texas seems to dip down in the past few days? That’s because reporting cases in Texas got de-prioritized last spring, and it takes up to three days for all the numbers to come in. It always. makes the charts look better than they are.

exactly what MoRon has been doing from the very beginning of all this. “make the numbers look good” was tRump’s thing from the first time he wouldn’t allow plague - ahem - cruise ships to dock, so as not to inflate “his numbers”.
FFS, it is all just so stupid and I grow weary.

My mother taught me , to not wish suffering on other humans beings .
I sorry mom , but I want him to end up on a ventilator.
Or better yet, have him need one and be told they are all being used .

I can’t state my real feelings, but I’ll simply state that I hope he gets the care merited by system capacity and his medical priority, rather than his political priority.
