Morrissey exits stage 30m into set

Me too, at first, until I realised it did not parse.

Almost the entire rest of the world uses ‘m’ as an abbreviation for metres (and a meter is something that measures something, not a unit of length) and thus uses ‘mins’ for minutes (unless it is also showing seconds, for example, where 5m30s might be acceptable).

But this is a USian blog so you have to do the auto-translate in your head.

That is why I spelled it in USian (I know the proper spellings) /s

Just like you lot - I love the music, not so keen on the deliverer.

ETA: an I, to avoid misinterpretation. Thanks @anothernewbbaccount

I think the British term for Morrissey is “Prat”.

Well, we are famous for our understatement, I guess.

On an aside, I seem to have acquired a slice of cake.
It’s not my birthday. Is this an anniversary type-thing?

bah, Bob Dylan and Van Morrison have been doing this same sort of thing for decades, and they get away with it because it doesn’t happen TOO often, and when they do perform and they are on point, they deliver transcendental shows. if Morrissey put on a perfect show every once in awhile, that would help ease the sting of something like this. I saw Dylan perform twice in the 80s and 90s, and the first time he played for 45 mins and then walked off. we thought he was just taking a break and would be back until the house lights came on. the second time i saw him, he blew me away. Van Morrison is apparently the same way, but i’ve only had good experiences seeing him.

Only if you don’t know anything about his politics, otherwise the correct term rhymes with prat.

Brat?

Technically, the correct descriptor is a word we may not use on this forum.

Ah. I genuinely had no idea what the word was! I’ll go boil my head now.

No more we see of Morrissey.
