Morrissey exits stage 30m into set

Oh, I was thinking of a word that didn’t even rhyme with the other offerings…

The thing about the Robert Smith and Morrissey feud is that they hadn’t ever met before Morrissey started it. Now, Siouxsie Sioux and Morrissey, they collaborated on a duet version of Timi Yuro’s “Interlude” and then Siouxsie wanted nothing to do with his nationalism. Content warning for sexual imagery in the language on that second link, but I’m not familiar with that “Q” magazine which was quoted, and I’m not havaing success finding another quote of it.

@hecep The more you ignore him, the quieter he gets; he’s wasting his time.

*Edit: with thanks for GTA.

No one move a muscle, until Morrissey goes home!

ETA: @smulder if Johnny Marr isn’t on it, I’m not listening

Yup. The only way I could make sense of that in my head was that he had fallen 30 metres off a stage into a film set. Which seemed a bit unlikely, but I couldn’t find another explanation that made sense until I read the article.

Perhaps he got through the first level of Donkey Kong, but not very far into the second?

Q was, for a time, in my opinion the best music publication in print - when is started in the mid 80’s it was revolutionary - at least in my little suburbia.

I felt the same about it’s sister publication Empire, which is still going -
