“We are gravely concerned by Donald Trump. The Republicans should really ask themselves if it’s a good idea to vote for this man. Well, there it is, we said it. Over to you, Republicans. We now resume our regularly-scheduled ‘Wow, look at this really old guy’ coverage.”

Trump is dangerous, plus all the people that he’ll hire will be dangerous, plus his party has a codified plan to end democracy we can all review.

Biden is old. But he still cares about democracy and he’s surrounded himself with people who are competent and not hell-bent on destroying democracy and enriching themselves.

Why is there even a debate about this (I mean, other than the fact that corporate media has debased itself before the almighty dollar.)

They will praise the fuhrer right until the moment they’re put in gulag. It’s up to us to keep this wannabe dictator out. The press doesn’t do its job with this “unbiased” both sides bullshit.

What a strange piece. It’s desperately trying to “both sides” the argument, succeeding in saying absolutely nothing.

If Biden loses, like Clinton lost in 2016, whose fault is it at that point? Are we going to blame the voters, who are mostly the same people who voted on these exact same people 4 years ago, or on the democratic party who stubbornly put up a candidate that is apparently doing everything possible to get his opponent elected?

The Times has lost so much credibility over the last ten years for their political coverage.

Fine for science, culture, and games, but f%^$, I’ve had it with their posing as a liberal, let alone objective news source.

NYT: The competent one trying to do the right things is almost 4% older than the demented authoritarian, so clearly both sides are the same. /smdh

He’s not, though, is he?

Or the media, that fixated on Biden’s age and health, portrayed him as senile and pushed for him to be replaced while ignoring Trump’s habitual lying and obvious cognitive decline?

You sorta have to assume they’re getting hammered with complaints and unsubscriptions for them to do even this much.

Let’s blame the guy who ran four years ago and won! Or maybe those who keep pushing loser narratives? Those guys suck.

Seriously. Even 2016 Bernie Bros have moved on, with notable exceptions…

Maybe you watched a different debate than I did (one that the Biden campaign requested), and then he didn’t do any live Q/A for a week. Considering the opposition has been calling him “grandpa joe” for 5 years, this really looks to me like playing into their hands.

So you are saying that we should blame the voters. Those primaries don’t vote themselves.

Of course it’s the Democrat’s fault. Republicans never have any agency at all. Especially when they are taking increasingly aggressive steps to lock prospective voters out of the polls, invalidate votes cast, spread Russian disinformation, but it’s never their fault, is it? Always those damned old Dems. Yeah, no.

Is the Internet Research Agency still paying out on 2016 talking points? I would have thought they have updated their bounties.

The primary where he ran essentially unopposed, and still managed to lose over half-a-million votes to “uncommitted”, and that is amongst the most dedicated base of voters? Not the resounding vote of confidence it sounds like.
