Seeing that cruise ships were still selling tickets (as of yesterday, anyway) the joke at my office was âbuy one week, get two for free!â
Clearly heâs not speaking ex cathedra.
Not deadly to the young and healthy.
Does whether it qualifies as a fever also depend on an individualâs average?
I normally sit in the 36.2 °C - 36.4 °C and always treated 37 like I would a mild fever â not call a doctor level but pop a couple of advil and crawl into bed type thing. In other words, still in the normal range for humans, but high for me. Is that reasonable?
Came across this today, thought of you.
Am truly sorry to hear one of your partners is in quarantine. Hoping for the best for all yâall.
I realize you may have zero time to read this dense, firsthand clinical overview on COVID-19, but just in case, here it is, compiled:
From this account (another MDâs):
My 80yo dad traveled to Arizona to watch spring training this past week.
Yup; closed down for three weeks.
Live, Real-Time Coronavirus Pandemic Counter:
I think this means the UK strategy is screwed
An analysis of infections in Singapore and Tianjin in China revealed that two-thirds and three-quarters of people respectively appear to have caught it from others who were incubating the virus but still symptom-free.
The finding has dismayed infectious disease researchers as it means that isolating people once they start to feel ill will be far less effective at slowing the pandemic than had been hoped.
Considering two week incubation period this means that drastic action has to be taken right now to have any chances of avoiding the crisis.
Yeah, exactly. Thereâs probably already enough infected people walking around whoâve yet to develop symptoms to overload the NHS. The other graph thatâs interesting to plot is the logistic function fit to the government data, and the derivative of the logistic function that shows the number of infectious people at any one time. I go to a class with 20 people and itâs possible to work out how the probability of at least one person in that class being infected changes with time as the epidemic passes. Basically I need to suspend the class from the start of April to the start of June
Iâve heard that Cistus has immunosuppressive effect. If that is true, it could not only do no good, but actually be harmful. I canât find link to clinical research, but hereâs an article on cistus ladanifer applied to rats:
