She didn’t want to. Those borg were constantly asking Seven about what happened between her and Chakotay.
Maybe she did. We don’t see everything.
In a similar vein though, why did she have to kill Icheb exactly?
He was badly injured, and basically begged to be put out of his misery?
What the hell happened to Narek? Did he just disappear? Did they forget to show his scenes?
The whole episode seemed disjointed, like they were in a hurry to finish, right?
And they wanted so bad to give us a happy end that they forgot to create a cliffhanger for the next season.
IMHO the series was such a good idea but they couldn’t think a way to make it come true. I saw a lot of good things wasted.
I assumed they beamed him back on a Romulan ship. But I think he just fell victim to lazy scriptwriting. As if they just forgot about him.
Maybe he stayed in the Westworld planet and asked Dr. Data to make him a new Soji.
And what about that Golem Fullmetal Alchemist technology?
Rapaz, that stuff can turn the show into a kind of Altered Carbon or San Junipero in the stars. Nobody need to die anymore.
That makes things a little awkward going forward. There isn’t a particularly large population there.
“Hey Narek, isn’t that your ex?”
Plus as I know from Lucifer Season 4, being made as a mate for a guy can be a really terrible situation for the created woman.
They left the XBs there too. Now the planet has two cities: Silly Synthtown and Borgville.
Coppelius Story:
She was a synth just looking for naughty fun with the “half-meats” but fell for him.
He was an xB captivated by her full inventory of humanoid limbs and sensory organs but saw something more behind those plastic yellow eyes.
(with all the appropriate Leonard Bernstein score and modern dance gang fighting)
This second season will be a blockbuster!
I have to say, announcing the second (and third) season before airing this episode sucked some of the emotion out of Picard’s death scenes.
