It is strange. Pelosi and Porter have not had any major disagreements that I know of, though Porter did make some comments during the ‘stimulus’ negotiations that some reporters blew out of proportion. Even if being on this panel will somehow benefit Shalala because of her holdings, I don’t see how that can benefit Pelosi.
Shalala has been in the news quite a bit the last few weeks criticizing DeSatanDesantis and Trump, and has recently coauthored a thing called the Reopen America Act, designed to impose a science-based policy on any state reopenings, so if nothing else it might piss off Trump. I doubt he even knows who Porter is, though I suspect he will before his term is out.

I hope they also stop the intellectual property tax haven loophole. Companies who use it are registered in country where they operate but all of their profits are funnelled off to another company that holds trademarks and is registered in tax haven.

Telling a woman to “relax” and “lower your voice” is pretty much on point for this asshole. “You should be telling me what a great job i did” though seems to speak more to the personal insecurities he has. Why do i suspect he has used these phrases previously?
