I don’t see the rabid passion for Warren that I see for Sanders. But I don’t see any passion for Biden either, so it may not mean anything. We’ll see how the numbers land in February - its a long way off.
Another thing over been thinking about… the Iowa caucuses have a run-off aspect to them. I feel like this is more likely to benefit warren. If a sanders voter (or someone who likes both) sees he’s not gonna win the room, they can switch, and they’re more likely to switch to a progressive than moderate…
People are waiting in line for hours to get a selfie with her. She does seem to be engendering a lot of enthusiasm from people. You are right, people get wonderfully worked up for Bernie. I just wish it more often was channeled in as positive a direction as Sanders himself.
In my dream world sanders and warren come together as running mates. Because I can already see a couple people trying to divide them. The last thing we need is “or bust” mentality. (Although for all I know the comment section fighting I’m seeing might be the start of social media disinformation campaigns) And if the supporters of both got together they could easily knock Biden out of the race.
Really, that would be so much better than literally any possible alternative, that I’m not too bothered in which order you put them on the ticket.
It’s about time.
I like Bernie, but no small amount of the energy from his supporters comes from people who want to re-litigate 2016. I’ve seen quite a bit of passion for Warren too. If Sanders drops out before the end of the race I think a lot more of his supporters will move to Warren than Biden.
I’m in favor of Bernie, but I would not be at all disappointed with Warren based on some of the policies she’s been talking about. So either/or would be good or -as others have pointed out - a VP setup.
It’s tough for me because I’m an old cranky socialist jew as well,
but I’m for Warren this time around.
I’m for Warren, and I don’t either of them should be the other’s VP, they are both more useful staying in the Senate. Pick someone younger to be VP.
Warren is OK although if she gets in she will face that slug brain Moscow Mitch who will roadblock anything any democratic president offers. Bernie and Biden are too old for the demands of the job. Set aside the fact that 45 is a hate infected greed monger I think some of his batshit comments and behaviors come from the fact that he is too older for the demands of the presidency. Rather than make any rational response to issues he is a predictable brainless bully who throws chum in the water for his base. We need someone young enough, informed enough and bright enough to respond to all our complex concerns. Perhaps Warren is that person. Whoever it is will have a lot of their time and energy sapped off by the twisted remains of the current republican obstructionists. We need someone with an amazing array of skills. Intelligence, empathy, compassion and vision combined with a bloodlust for the squealing swine of Greedy Old Pigs white supremacists. Regardless of the actual vote count I can’t imagine trump leaving office without a knockdown drag out battle. Our candidate needs to be up to that battle as well.
It scares me to think of her on the debate stage with The Beige Beelzebub breathing down her neck.
"benghazi, lock her up!"
oh sorry too soon?
I also think that 45 has made a space.
A space that has the size, shape and mind of Warren.
I think, she’d turn towards him and bark, “Back off, you creep!” At which point he’d pee his pants.
She can fluster. I’ve seen it.
Everyone can. Did you see Trump’s chopper talk this weekend? He was melting like hot candle wax.
Warren is actually 70 but it is true she is remarkably fit and strong and seems decades younger
I find him hard to read, for some reason. All his chopper talk is at the same fever pitch, and I refuse to watch him speak to his adoring mud puppies. Everything that comes out of that windbag is a lie, to my eyes. He’d rather lie, even when it would be easier to tell the truth.
